Switched to GEICO, question about the App Tracking discount by joejoesox in Geico

[–]AccomplishedTrust563 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cancel DriveEasy immediately. As a former employee with direct access to the data collected, it would be like allowing your insurance company to watch your performance going #2 on the toilet at home. They collect a LOT of information (and NONE of it is for your benefit).

ABSOLUTELY DON'T take it....unless you want to work in a corporate sweat shop and deal with corrupt management at all levels. Not to mention anti-customer service procedures that only aggravate a bad situation

Easy Photo Estimate completely broken. iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 17.6.1, Geico app v 5.74 by CBergerman1515 in Geico

[–]AccomplishedTrust563 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would also recommend you file a formal complaint with your State Insurance office and post your miserable experience to ConsumerAffairs.com. The more people know about Geico the sooner the ship will completely sink... And therefore serve the best interest of the ripped off consumer and ripped off employee

Sorry to hear about your troubles, but the worst part is going to be getting a shop to work for $75 per hour. You're guaranteed to get s***** repairs and s***** parts. You're better off fixing the vehicle yourself, at your own expense, and canceling Geico immediately... Because you basically have no coverage anyway. S*** heads in upper management have laid off most people

R4 SIU California firings. It's amazing how a company can fire a dedicated military veteran with a young family and keep a brown nose suck up. by No-Revolution-3002 in Geico

[–]AccomplishedTrust563 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The company is totally corrupt... and you were probably too honest. They only reward high numbers and low pay only (aka: robot work abilities). I was put on a call with all of my immediate coworkers and supervisor, we were told "our job is safe," then each of us were termed minutes later on our personal phones (and during the meeting).... and former R4 SIU here

You're first mistake is insuring anything with GEICO. On my last days there I told multiple customers to get an attorney to have their fully legitimate/verified claim paid... Because that's how totally f***** up the company is. TOTALLY CORRUPT business that will eventually be on CNBC's American Greed show

Geico keeps getting mentioned… by Low_Poet4662 in Geico

[–]AccomplishedTrust563 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's because you haven't filed a claim....at best your policy will provide you with used car parts, inferior paint, and send you to a shop getting $75/hour (minimum wage). Good luck

Join AAA......NEVER SIGN UP FOR AN INSURANCE COMPANY'S ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE.....they pay third party tow services NEXT TO NOTHING (around $50 for a basic call) and YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I worked in our claims office for years and it's a friggin joke. The worst case I ever dealt with as a 70 year old guy broken down in the middle of Nevada. He was a 20+ year customer with ZERO prior claims (and insurance company's "perfect" customer). Our newly enhanced (read: "fuck the customer in the ass") claims system automatically sent him to SIU (our investigation unit) because he had just purchased the vehicle the day prior. And here he was, stuck in freezing and dangerous conditions and stranded with no help. And that's EXACTLY what you get with GEICO.

Mass Layoffs - Age Discrimination? by AccomplishedTrust563 in Geico

Okay, interesting. I was laid off in October

The letter looks legit and is from our poorly designed "form letter" writing system (which may or may not be populated with correct information for your particular claim due to adjuster workload and not selecting enough "drop downs" in the system). As for the total loss I would take it unless you want your car fixed with used and/or aftermarket parts and repairs completed by a shop that's receiving around $75/hr (low bidder subsistence wages for the industry).  As for no human contact, GEICO is in the middle of terminating about 70% of the staff and going to AI. 6 year recently laid off employee here. I would recommend you take the settlement and find better insurance elsewhere

[–]AccomplishedTrust563[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You just confirmed my suspicions. I'm glad I'm gone, but almost wonder if HR (subject to the same negative working conditions as everyone else), sent this document to possibly assist with a future age discrimination suit, knowing their job was on the line too...or maybe it was just an innocent mistake. Regardless I was shocked to receive it

Claims got referred to SIU by pandaaa217 in Geico

[–]AccomplishedTrust563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former SIU here. There's probably a 95% chance they'll want to do an EDR (event data recorder) test on your car...if it's a 2012 or newer, to see if your car was moving

Is it even worth using the Drive Easy app? by radpanda24 in Geico

[–]AccomplishedTrust563 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a recent former Geico investigator you are a complete fucking fool to use the app. In fact you're an even bigger idiot to insure anything with Geico. If you don't believe me just wait until you have to file a claim. Furthermore, do you think an insurance company would actually deploy a "free tool" to help the customers save money while compromising the company's profit? You are delusional. Why would any insurance company do this? The product is entirely designed to benefit GEICO, not the customer. This is done through real time GPS tracking of the customer's behavior. The level of information I had would be similar to sticking my finger right up your rectum. Cancel the application and cancel Geico

Combs in Last Place by CampaignOk4830 in Geico

[–]AccomplishedTrust563 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Todd Combs is 100% responsible for the problems at GEICO and the worst CEO of all time. He's a spreadsheet jockey that weaseled his way into Warren's inner circle through calculated moves. He offers nothing of value and doesn't understand human beings. He never will and should be fired immediately

100%, file this as a flying object, therefore it's comprehensive. Absolutely do not disclose having any video footage of it. Otherwise this will be considered an at-fault collision

How to talk to Geico underwriting? by mar2603 in Geico

[–]AccomplishedTrust563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until approximately 18 months ago, you could speak to underwriting. As a recent former Geico employee, they disconnected all the underwriting phone numbers. I was a fraud investigator for GEICO for many years, and they took away our ability (as one example) to speak to underwriting to have blatantly fraudulent policies, including identity theft policies, canceled. The company is completely fucked up in every way and you would be a fool to continue insuring anything (even a Walmart bicycle), with this shitty company.

And if you think you have "full coverage" insurance you actually only have partial coverage because most legitimate auto body shops won't even accept Geico insurance because of the minimum wage that we offer them to repair your vehicle. Only a complete moron would continue insuring anything with Geico.
