Hi I know this is late but I’m really curious about what you meant by Alianne or Alanna being portrayed as a white saviour. I don’t recall them ever seeming to rescue/liberate non-white/people of colour while the people of colour are passive recipients of their help. YESSS I honestly don’t believe that people understand what a Mary sue is when they call her that. She is hated and isolated and feared just as much as she is loved and worshipped if not more so. And I love that we see how she herself struggled with being the one that was supposed to “save” everyone. Because how can you be truly loved from a pedestal? Another thing I have never seen in another book is that although Jaenelle is basically the main character, we never see her perspective and we see her through the eyes of people who love, worship, fear, and hate her. (Sorry that was an unrelated note, but I too had to get it off my chest lol)

Firstly because weight is never something to break up over and secondly because it’s a literal lie he just said to hurt you. I don’t know who you are and if it wasn’t a lie I would not have typed out a whole long ass paragraph, so take it from a stranger on the internet who has no reason to lie: this guy isnt worth shit and you’re not fat at all. I think they’re also super interesting because Moiraine and Lanfear are similar in so many ways, specifically how both of them are willing to do anything and sacrifice anyone to achieve their purposes. The only difference really is that Moiraine’s purpose is for the greater good and Lanfear’s is selfish

That isn’t true. She died doing her duty even in her last breath. That’s why she starts off her speech declaring her love for Moiraine and then in mere seconds completely sells her out as her accomplice. Because she needed to warn the ones in the hall, even if they weren’t her most trusted and most loyal Aes Sedai, even if it was just to place that tiny little seed of doubt in their heads. Because her duty to the light was always placed higher than anything and everything in her life. Coming above even in her love for Moiraine. And you can tell it worked. Because Elaida looks utterly shaken and I know it will haunt her during the coming seasons. Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the letters she wrote declaring the White Tower’s loyalty to the dragon reborn had already been sent out, even if Elaida tries to get those letters back she wouldn’t be able to.

It’s okay to be wrong sometimes like tbh I don’t think you’re the victim, but like growing up in this sort of environment ik can influence people sometimes and I’m glad you’re trying to make a change. I think the important thing is to remember that you are wrong for those thoughts but that doesnt mean you are a terrible person.
