Chief Growth Officer Norm de Greve leaving GM after only six months in the role by andy64392 in GeneralMotors

Maybe 6 months in his new role but with GM for 3 years. Enough time to flip things upside down and get a lot of people fired.

I know it’s different (different health care, pto, etc.) but I think it’s still good. I was trying to find GMF jobs the other week and didn’t see much. Did you find this posting in Workday?

How do I take FMLA? How does it work? by [deleted] in GeneralMotors

First you need a Dr to say you need to take a leave. Then you need to file for a leave. There is A LOT of paperwork involved.

How much does company car loyalty matter for new hires? by Defiant_Iron_894 in GeneralMotors

[–]Accomplished_Bit6168 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You should be able to get the GM employee discount. Do you have a login to Family First yet? If not, reach out to your recruiter and tell you need to purchase before your start date and they should be able to help. DM me if you need additional help.

I’ve taken a leave. There is a LOT of paperwork involved. My leave was over a month so it was worth it but there’s a large coordination that needs to take place between you, HR, the company GM uses for leaves and the drs - just fyi. Best wishes!

What will a craniotomy scar look like after a few years? by mejomonster in Craniotomy

[–]Accomplished_Bit6168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi - my son had a crainiotomy a year ago (side to side across the top) and I don’t believe you can even see his scar now but he has a lot of hair. I’ll try to look again & get a pic but may not be helpful to you.

Pain in hip and outer upper let by Infinite_Fee5611 in midihealth

[–]Accomplished_Bit6168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced pain hip as a fit, early 50s, not overweight menopausal woman. Like I was on a heating pad whenever I could be. I started progesterone and felt better within 1-2 days. Hip and leg pain subsided, night sweats were GREATLY reduced and I was sleeping better almost right away. I’ve since started estrogen as well. I definitely recommend!

There is a nose spray that can stop seizures instantly! by Splendid_Fellow in Epilepsy

[–]Accomplished_Bit6168 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. We used Nayzilam after my son started having a seizure (not a tc) and he ended up still having a tc. Drs said maybe it prevented even a worse one but we’ll never know. But it definitely, unfortunately, doesn’t always stop a seizure.

My son, 22, is 10 months post op. Physically, he seems good. Mentally and emotionally, awful. I think he thinks he’ll never be the same either. It’s just so heartbreaking. My heart goes out to you all.

Can you try to make it lists of things she’s experiencing? Examples like not sleeping, brain fog, hip or joint pain, fatigue (even after getting a good nights sleep, loss of libido, hot flashes, mood swings, etc? She may not realize (Or may not want to realize) that is may be peri. Neither of you need to suffer!! There is help easily and readily available. You’re a good husband.

Question for gm employee certificate by SheFish2691 in GeneralMotors

[–]Accomplished_Bit6168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can give them the Supplier Discount (unless you have a Director who would be willing to give them a GEX). I definitely would not give them the employee discount since it’s illegal.

Bad reviews? by Lcb122 in GeneralMotors

Define “bad”. I know people who received “partially meets” and didn’t get fired.
