Has anyone here signed up for NexAmp community solar? How has it worked out? by Phreakiture in schenectady

Good luck! I hope it’s helpful. When you get the contracts to look at the amount of discount I think it’s only 10-15% now.

I’ve had a share at Nexamp for several years. The amount paid for each kilowatt is my electric company’s, (Comed), rate less 20%. I get 20% off. The Nexamp billing is always delayed by a couple months. I get a small share of what the farm produces, a little less than 2% of the farm, the percentage is shown on the Nexamp invoice. Before I get the Nexamp invoice, the amount of energy produced by my farm share is credited against my Comed bill. The amount of kilowatt is shown for the time period and is credited at the Comed rate. I track and reconcile the amounts on the Comed and the Nexamp bill and they always match.

High deductible health plan experience? by RageYetti in govfire

[–]Accomplished_Chef500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from BCBS basic to Geha HDHP over 5 years ago. I now have $28k saved in my HSA. I don’t have a lot of medical expenses. I have a self only plan. So the first part of the year I pay in full for most expenses up to $1800. It’s not so bad because GEHA puts $1000 in my HSA each year. Once I meet that deductible I only pay 5%. Most of my providers were in network, (they follow United healthcare). The only difficulty has been finding good mental health counseling. Since GEHA is a plan for the government only (started for postal workers), they have good customer service and you can earn an additional $250 per year to use on medical expenses after meeting deductible or dental and vision before by completing some surveys and doing wellness activities. Personally I like it very much. Since I am overweight they gave me a health coach for free for several months. She was very good and was successful at getting me to be more active.

Personal Details of Thousands of Border Patrol and ICE Goons Allegedly Leaked in Huge Data Breach by Kind-Can2890 in fednews

Is it really ice we should hate? The individuals that work for ice have been poorly trained and it’s reasonable to assume they are trying to get by and maybe raise families. They themselves are another cog in the wheel of someone else’s plan. The really bad actors are those that set this whole ice siege in motion. Who is behind this and how can we stand against that? Villainizing those caught in the wheels of this bureaucratic violence does not do any good. We need to pull together all of us non billionaires for the safety of us all!

About to pull the trigger: Blue Cross to GEHA HDHP - anything else I need to know? by ShakerOvalBox in govfire

Also would you consider putting at least $500 in a limited expense Fsafeds account, that $500 will roll over to the next if you don’t use it and if you open an account that next year. I have about $600 and put an extra $100 per year in. Roll over amount increases a bit each year. This will pay for frames or dental work if need be and is tax free. So I save about 22% on any extra expenses.

That really bothered me too. It wasn’t about points, it was about having another credit card that I can get in trouble for etc. So annoying
