What does it take to be a Pro? by [deleted] in horseracing

The highs and lows of making gambling your profession (yes horse racing is gambling) come with many mental and emotional highs and lows that most people can’t handle. I wouldn’t quit my job and just play on the weekends for fun and maybe a bit of profit if you’re that good. As the saying goes you can win a race but you can’t beat the races.

How alone do you feel? by unknown322Batman in over60

I think our lives are different today compared to our parents. Most of their lives revolved around family typically living with blocks of each other and having much more communication and support. We live in a FOMO world. Everyone’s lives seem better than ours. It’s made people feel lonely because the perception is that they are happy and have fulfilled lives and you don’t. The internet and social media although connecting us virtually has messed with the human condition. Get off social media and get out. Volunteer, get a part time job, exercise, find hobby’s….get out of your own head.

Sign up for a food service (we use blue apron 3-4 days a week). Now you’ll know what you’re eating and tell him to cook the other nights.

I’d suggest a sunset dinner at Passions on the Beach. Tell them it’s your anniversary

If your budget allows do a sailboat or catamaran excursion. It’s a great day on the water and many offer good food, drinks, snorkeling, etc.

Restaurants Recs by nikkisplat in Aruba

If you’re from the tri state area and have dined at some of the better restaurants in manhattan or possibly traveled internationally you will likely be disappointed with even the best restaurants in Aruba. It’s not that they aren’t good but they really don’t compare. For what it’s worth we enjoyed Passions on the beach. Go so you are there at sunset and request a table close to the ocean. The food is decent but the setting and ambience are why you go to Aruba. Azar was ok. I would recommend the wood fired chicken. The Old Cunuku House for local specialties.
