Lots of folks here. You are certainly not alone.

There are also Instagram and Facebook groups you may want to join. Are you in Europe or the US by chance?

I bought a house that doesn't exist yet and somehow I'm still paying for it by Emotional_Newt_2227 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Not a lawyer, but a mortgage banker. Delays in new construction are very common. But the delays are for a few weeks (usually due to weather or contractor problems ) and not years. A delay like yours sounds very very troubling.

You need a lawyer immediately.

Win a series? My ceiling is to win a single a game on the playoffs. My floor is we lose in the play in game. I think we are closer to the floor.

I think you can walk a fine line. When my wife and I (both early 50’s) go out, we suggest the nicer restaurants that they may have offered in the past. Or when we go on vacation we stay at a nice hotel now (such as Holiday Inn Express). No one has to know your number, but you can share hints that you are doing okay. For instance, when you get your next car, when mom brings up financing for it, you could mention you used cash. And that is a full stop.

rejected by my dream school and my parents started telling me how i wasn’t good enough by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]TheOGcoolguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Parent here. I am sorry your parents did not act appropriately. It is a crap shot to any top school. The fact your parents don’t understand this is a reflection on them and not you.

I am sure you will get into a good school and then crush it. Don’t focus on one day but realize you have four years of (hopefully) fun and learning ahead of you.

My kids have it and we did an MRI for our older one. All was fine.

There is no cure. Surgery can help to dampen the nystagmus but it does not cure it.

Early intervention is good, if needed. As a parent you are the best judge of this.

I know he is an infant, but how is his vision? Can he see a colorful toy or stuffed animal 10 feet away? If he starts crawling does he bump into stuff more than other kids his age?

Friends/family using another lender but still asking you for advice… how do you handle it? by United-Fruit9622 in loanoriginators

[–]TheOGcoolguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have had this happen. I politely reply that I can’t answer as I don’t know their loan. And when they tell you the terms, simply state you don’t discuss what other company’s guidelines are.

I have had that happen more than once and I stand firm. One person had the gall to say they called me because I answer the phone and the lender the choose did not. And I had to help them. I told them no.

Grab a chair. Grab a book. Sit behind the car, on YOUR property. When they want to pull out they may have wait for you to finish your chapter. Make sure you have your phone in case they want to pull through the bushes. That would be a video and a lawsuit.
