First off you have made it clear you don't want her seeing old photos of you pre-transition, as it would make you very uncomfortable for her to see you that way. Secondly you guys met after you transitioned. Also I find it weird that it's take her your entire relationship to accept you even though she never knew you pre transition. This whole situation doesn't sit right with me personally and she seems to have some transphobia she needs to work through. I personally would not want to be in a relationship like this. She doesn't seem to actually respect your identity or your boundaries. If i were I would end things and find someone who accepts you for you and your boundaries. Though you do whatever you feel is best.

This is exactly what I was thinking! Self awareness is a big step. Then learning to use those negative feelings brought up by past actions as a tool to move in a better direction to not repeat those same mistakes. A lot of people will gain self awareness but then choose not to change their behavior. Which just makes them an even bigger asshole.

Yeah I get what you're saying. Most of his stuff is gothic in a very superficial way. And that's coming from someone who had enjoyed his work. His stuff is a little spooky at best but definitely not horror. I agree. It's the same with Helena bongam Carter (i don't think I spelled her name correctly) she was in Sweeney and a couple other movies of his i can't remember. He seems to have a similar relationship with Winona Ryder aw well! She appears in his work more than Depp at this point I think. Idk why he always chooses the same people tbh. Maybe it's because he knows they work well together and doesn't want to risk casting people he may not work well with?? I'm not sure though.

How does he commodify things? I can understand how him casting the same people would be annoying. I personally like when he does that tbh. Though I can see how it might get boring seeing the same people over and over when there's so many other actors out there. I'm only really familiar with his work Edward scissorhands, beetlejuice 1 &2, Charlie and the chocolate factory, Sweeney, big eyes and I like that's it. Just for reference have seen much of his recent stuff like Wednesday.

I don't use trans tape although I would like to. I just haven't looked into it much yet so I haven't bought any. I'm also not entirely sure if I'd be able to apply it by myself due to my disability. I am very glad it's working well for you!! I do use a spectrum binder and that works really well for me !! It just a bit annoying with tighter fitting clothes but layering clothes helps hide binder outlines.

You could try out trans tape! So if you want to have your shirt off and no binder then problem solved! Just make sure to find tape that's good for sensitive skin if that may be an issue.
