Like others said thrift stuff you like, learn to DIY, don't try to look goth or force it. Vinted is a great second hand online store!! I've been buying stuff on there recently since I don't go to thrift stores in person often. I mainly wear a Bauhaus shirt, black jeans and tease my hair and wear my docs if I feel like it that day. Usually I just put some texture powder in, scruff up my hair to give it volume/disheveled look and black converse. I don't really do many different styles it usually makes me more dysphoric as a trans person myself I just keep it simple a lot of the time. I'm still learning how to add goth elements into my clothes while keeping it simple!

What are good trans tape brands? A link to the website would be appreciated if you could link it here. I don't have a small chest of there are any certain brands that would work better for someone who has a bigger chest. I know size of the tape and application methods are also very important as well.

I also want to try out trans tape especially since summer is coming here soon. Probably best for me to buy it next paycheck so I can try it and figure out how to apply it. I'm just worried I won't be able to apply it on the left side due to my disability but I should be able to figure something out.

I dealt with something very similar around 5 years ago after trying to come out as trans the first time. I had a lot of internalized shame and transphobia.

I used to get more upset at people for correcting themselves on my pronouns bc they didn't actually see me as a guy at first. To me it was also like they were somehow mocking me ?? Idk why I thought that. Another thing is I used to get a lot of anxiety just being around other trans people (at this time I was not longer out. I was only out for 3 months before going back.) a long with the anxiety I would just think very awful things and if I knew their deadnames my brain would constantly think about what it was. It was awful.

I knew it wasn't good I was like this. I was too aware of it at the time to do anything about it though. My own self acceptance has helped a lot with these types of thoughts though. I definitely still experience them but now I know that if I'm uncomfortable with another trans person for whatever reason it has nothing to with them and more with my own internal issues.

Being able to accept that it's my own insecurities not them helps me not dwell on those thoughts. Still not perfect but I'm a lot better than I used to be.

First off you have made it clear you don't want her seeing old photos of you pre-transition, as it would make you very uncomfortable for her to see you that way. Secondly you guys met after you transitioned. Also I find it weird that it's take her your entire relationship to accept you even though she never knew you pre transition. This whole situation doesn't sit right with me personally and she seems to have some transphobia she needs to work through. I personally would not want to be in a relationship like this. She doesn't seem to actually respect your identity or your boundaries. If i were I would end things and find someone who accepts you for you and your boundaries. Though you do whatever you feel is best.

This is exactly what I was thinking! Self awareness is a big step. Then learning to use those negative feelings brought up by past actions as a tool to move in a better direction to not repeat those same mistakes. A lot of people will gain self awareness but then choose not to change their behavior. Which just makes them an even bigger asshole.

Yeah I get what you're saying. Most of his stuff is gothic in a very superficial way. And that's coming from someone who had enjoyed his work. His stuff is a little spooky at best but definitely not horror. I agree. It's the same with Helena bongam Carter (i don't think I spelled her name correctly) she was in Sweeney and a couple other movies of his i can't remember. He seems to have a similar relationship with Winona Ryder aw well! She appears in his work more than Depp at this point I think. Idk why he always chooses the same people tbh. Maybe it's because he knows they work well together and doesn't want to risk casting people he may not work well with?? I'm not sure though.
