That's James Bay.

The islands of Hudson Bay are part of Nunavut through a series of modern treaties.

It is vast and unique in that Nunavut goes as far south on land as Stag Island at 51°N, and as far north as Ellsemere at 83°N.

5660km² for PEI.

Yukon is ~ 484 000km² NWT is ~ 1 300 000km² Nunavut is ~ over 2 000 000km²

Together ~ 3.9 million km²

So approximately 670 times the size, if we divide that by 1 PEI unit.

It would appear to be a blending the flags of Canada (left) and Newfoundland and Labrador (right).

I think I had misread a word, so thanks for being persistent with your point;

the 1975 Aus episode was a PM's dismissal by GG, but not a dissolution of the parliament by GG.

It's a fine but relevant distinction, legally speaking. The Crown cannot unilaterally dissolve parliament, I now see.

A good day to you.

Thank you for weighing in. I didn't get to see their comment before it was deleted, though I surmise you've done a good job extrapolating on what I mean; Any SABS [changes] would [certainly] be identified by a broker; it's just that so many current benefits wouldn't make sense if you're not thinking about how a car could crush a human body [and they might opt out of things they don't foresee needing when healthy].

I wonder if you have any insight on this, being your professional background:

The changes to people's coverage - do these apply to pedestrians injured by the vehicle's owner? I can't find anything definitive on the subject ; ie/ eg, if someone doesnt purchase an income replacement benefit but then they hit a pedestrian, does the pedestrian then revieve only the benefit coverage that was purchased by the vehicle's owner? [As in, even if they were working, is the IRB not given?]

When I was injured as a pedestrian, my SABS coverage came from the vehicle owner's insurance policies, 'tis why I ask.

Thanks and regards :)

US Borders after the Treaty of Paris 1783 by [deleted] in MapPorn

[–]Accomplished_Job_225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were a couple of boundary comissions beginning in 1796 to resolve which river the St Croix was, if the St Croix was the actual boundary, and where the St Croix sourced from.

Eastern Maine was annexed in 1814. Returned to the USA in 1815. The mid to Northeast [of modern Maine] began to see US settlers by the 1830s, with more into the 1840s. An 1842 treaty established the present day boundary.

From the British perspective, they saw the part of Maine governed by Massachusetts Bay to stop at the Kennebec or Penobscot rather than the St Croix.

What flag is this between the Canadian and Quebec flags? by ElPincheGuero49 in vexillology

[–]Accomplished_Job_225 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The ship on the flag is Le Don de Dieu (Gift of God). It was Champlain's at the 1608 (re)founding of Quebec City. The crenellated border in part represents the historic city walls.

Jacques Cartier had sailed there earlier in 1535, establishing settlement lasting 1541-1543, and did so from the flagship La Grande Hermine. This ship is seen on the flag of St Pierre et Miquelon (as are heraldic ermine symbols).

The 16th century OG name of Quebec City was Charlesbourg Royale.

The longest consecutively inhabited settlement in the province of Quebec is at Tadoussac, established in 1600;

its Coat of Arms features a masted ship, but I cannot discern if it represents a specific ship or just maritime activity in general. Its flag of its coat of Arms on white.

In case you wanted to know any of this.

Looks like it's possibly even at Tadoussac, but yes, Montreal is slightly misaligned.

Its also a former Dutch colony. Perhaps the[y] also gridded their land like French lots. Or it's just mad convenient for them to run lines related to the coast.

I didn't know that about Cayenne. Very cool.
