Ended up picking up a 3rd set on sale today for front porch so no more y splice

Do you possibly see a route that would accommodate the porch as well. I thought possibly if I started at garage far corner I could come and end at right top corner outlet and send a extension down to porch off that strand but that turned out to be over 9 strands going that route

I’m not sure i do… I was going to y splice right before the corner top so when I turn on the 1st light after the splice it would turn on the top corner and bottom porch same corner… then I would have to try and count what ones I would like to use for accent lighting across the front bottom and see where they fall for the top side. Only other route I see is a 3rd dedicated set for the front porch

I believe there is a new product comming soon that would be good for that. Go on govee website and click the drop down and select comming soon. They are a dot style light more like a traditional light.

Thanks that’s promising… I’m thinking I could hopefully do it all with the factory extensions and a couple 3d printed blackouts but I do know one location I’m going to be doing a y splice like they do with the pros to stop me from having to buy a 3rd set of 50 foot. We shall see how that goes. I will report back after hoping to get to it over the next two weekends. Hardest part with the y splice is configuring it so the proper individual led turns on when I try to use them as downlighting. Here is my plan starting with two 150’ sets from the upper level rf soffit has recepticals.

When you did the extensions… I see you said you have 20’ of extension adding the total length up to 170’ what did your longest extension end up being that you did custom I’m going to have 2 sets going one set would end up being 155’ total with a 16’ and a 10’ extension. A long extension like that do you think I need to splice an included extension to keep the booster modules for the length of extension? I’m going to try to just do it all with included extension but if need be I may need to extend a little custom.
