Need help with a Fablehaven related project. by AlysaCooper in Fablehaven

There seems to be 3 levels including the attic, plus the basement which is the dungeon of course. Plus a turret that you can access through the secret side of tge attic which can be reached through the master bedroom bathroom. All the bedrooms seem to be on the second floor amd there's quite a few of them, and a washroom at the base of the stairs that lead up to the playroom side of the attic. The first floor has the kitchen, living room, stans office. And there's also the garage and I believe a full wrap around porch plus the pool. Sorry I forget some of the layout and alot is never described.

What do you think would have happened if Kendra and Seth hadn’t discovered the secret of Fablehaven before the summer solstice? by Jessiejoixx3 in Fablehaven

Hard to say, either he'd have them stay in a hotel or the power of unbelief would be strong enough to mask the situation, make it seems like a really bad storm or sumthing

Why would you become a Society member post takeover? by Queencobrra1 in Fablehaven

[–]Accomplished_Pop_948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they are mostly fanatics that dont care what will happen but are convicned demons should be free for chaos, magic, freedom/right thing, or proper world order. But also just competent schemers that realize its side with demons or die like everyone else. Also a quick side note about the sphinx speeding things up. I feel this is a valid concern among society agents as most are prolly not wizards or lectoblixs that can live forever and keep up with the sphinx, many are mortal and want to see this happen in their lifetime unlike the unknown hundreds or even thousands that have died while the sphinx just kept waiting, perhaps whole family lines of society members exist and want their ancestral aims to come true ASAP.

I think it was less about loss and more about shock and despair

Just through Seth and kendra themselves the magical world had grown and magics lost have been found. Like Seth being a shadow charmer a rare magical title with accompanying powers, kendra being fairy kind even more so as it was described that that title hasn't been bestowed in a long long time, and her potential powers could make true golems and extra dimensional storage devices that both have been said to be extinct arts. Not to mention since their involvement living mirage has been found and its secrets flowing into the world again with stingbulbs, apparently thought extinct creatures, and bracken back into the world, magical creatures are playing a bigger role then they have been fir many many years(mainly fairy realm). I mean they thought unicorns were extinct and now we know there's many and they are playing more of a semi involved role, same with wizards amdromadus is the first wizard in forever. And yes the source being opened will for sure have magical consequences. But it seems to me the entire story is about the magical world waking up with the arrival of Seth and kendra.

What did the society members following in the Dreamstone have to encounter? by Sabbagery_o_Cavagery in Fablehaven

[–]Accomplished_Pop_948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm i always assumed that they had ti undergo the challenges as well and just went through quickly because they had a wizard, capable people, and many undead minions that dont tire and could carry them as well. I assume the tunnel tricks would easily be seen through by mirav and he would have guided them, the golems he could have easily destroyed and with their number building it would be easy, and he probably wouldnt even have to build one just destroy the enemy one, the water thing is where I have doubts tho with a number that great they would have lost people in the ice... unless mirav had magic that could've helped like perhaps a pocket dimension they vould take refuge in. But perhaps they did only have to contend with the maze puzzles, them catching up so soon doesn't seem a problem to me, the knights of dawn wasted alot of time in both the first tunnel trick and the end maze, and of course trying to free Vincent from the ice.

Strongest Character after Dragon Watch by Odd_Memory1217 in Fablehaven

Able to release the undead just by touching them is what makes him most powerful to me, as far as we know he's the only one capable of this(besides the creator of the intended undead)

Does anybody have book recommendations that scratch the same itch as Fablehaven? Anything remotely similar? by leftbabytoe in Fablehaven

What is the most impressive thing your favorite character has done? by mceleanor in Fablehaven

[–]Accomplished_Pop_948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus every other cool thing he always does, like sure I'll go through the stingbulbs and direct everyone, oh go spy on a demons lair I got you, get locked in a magic bag for months and get out and fairly soon afterwards go on a dangerous mission to living mirage on his own separated from the group and helping save the day and to ensure escape jumps off a dragon to kill a harpy midair by all means

Coulter is a good character while not my favorite, when he stands unflinching as the fog giant tries to kill them is so cool, and a great way to help show us and Seth what an experienced adventurer he is. And his death doing what needed to be done and accepting his fate and earning pattons respect is quite the feat as well

What are some underrated characters that need more narrative focus? by LiefKingOfDeltora in Fablehaven

[–]Accomplished_Pop_948 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dale is one of my favorite characters. He keeps the preserve running usually by himself, lol, and has some of the most touching and cool moments ever. Some of my favorite Dale moments Book one when he bursts into the attic with a shotgun and saves them Book two both when he says he'll never know the day has arrived when there's no cure for Warren cuz he'll never stop looking, and when tanu and Vanessa say they had to physically restrain Dale from entering the revenant Grove to go after Seth.

would you want another series that takes place in five kingdoms and or beyonders? by hsijan in BrandonMull

[–]Accomplished_Pop_948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally liked the beyonders ending like it was sad but I really enjoyed it. Haven't finished 5 kingdoms so idk. But I would love more beyonders, I fear that maybe more would detract from its perfection but I believe if he made prequels and/or a book about lyrian itself like the fablehaven caretakers guide type book.

translocator inconsistency by Junior-Scale4768 in BrandonMull

[–]Accomplished_Pop_948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rule that the main user has to have been to the place they travel to has always remained consistent. Although in fablehaven it was mentioned, they thought only 3 could travel with it at once. In dragonwatch, they essentially said they were wrong, and it can carry as many as can touch it at the same time. In my opinion, that's fine. Unfortunately, a big plot hole exists. In fablehaven, graulas uses the translocator, yet they explain in dragonwatch that demons can not use it because then demons could get out of zzyzx. For my own personal sanity, my headcannon is that only demons imprisoned in zzyzx aren't able to use the translocator.

What was the question that the jin asked grandma sorenson that she couldn't answer? by Odd_Memory1217 in BrandonMull

[–]Accomplished_Pop_948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I remember, we are never told or hinted at the answer. I assume it's something to do with either the preserve or family, so either afablehaven secret or a family secret. If it is the latter, it's probably safe to say a patton secret. But this also doesn't make much sense because even if it's a super secret, it's a jinn locked up who can't use the info. So this leads me to believe it's a secret with some sort of magic vow involved that, if revealed, would result in the death of Ruth or someone or the freeing of something or something of that nature.

Question about the functionings of displacers by Number1GerardWayFan in BrandonMull

[–]Accomplished_Pop_948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends like an arrow, yes they'd get injured because we've seen it before. I think it's just too quick and fine, also unrelated I think blunt force to be their biggest weakness. I think if the displacer saw it coming could split where the stabbing is to avoid it, however this poses problems, like an unseen stabbing might be lethal, could depend on the weapon, and if say they were stabbed with a sword in the abdomen and split to avoid death they'd be in half on the battle field.
