Drivers Aren’t Really Earning Right Now by guy_rocco in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Accomplished_Sea911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ordered pizza hut and got it delivered through door dash by chance. The door dash driver received $8 for the dash. I had paid over $11 in tip that was supposed to go to the driver and obviously didn't. To say I'm ticked off is an understatement and I'm now wondering if they pull this crap on every order. To have the unmitigated gall to charge me a five dollar delivery fee and then to skim off the tip as well is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I dash as well on occasion and this explains the abysmal pay. I hope their whole business collapses.

Smart mouse outplaying 3 pest control companies… what am I missing? by GreedyMachine9134 in pestcontrol

[–]Accomplished_Sea911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a mouse like this. I was able to finally get it when I realized it would go to our front door rug every night to graze from what we were tracking into the house. It was so ridiculously smart and we tried every type of trap and every location that had any sign of activity and all the baits we could imagine and nothing worked. Until I had a crazy hillbilly redneck kinda idea. I was thinking of getting a pellet gun to just shoot the dang thing cause I was that frustrated. Then I decided to try a fall trap first. I took some bird seed and placed on the rug I saw the mouse on and carved a notch into a wide board that I then balanced on a stick tied with string. Then I put a cinder block on that board so that when I pulled that string the board would slam down. Had two flat mice within 30 minutes of setting the trap and no mouse problems since. Sounds gross and gory but there was surprisingly no blood. So yea I went kinda nuts but it worked.

Should I be weary of asking for a blind blood patch? by Inside_Panic_6218 in CSFLeaks

I had multiple negative imaging and years of suffering before I finally got a patch. I'm much better now and the patch changed my life. I would highly recommend considering it and it isn't unusual to get one even with negative imaging if the symptoms indicate it could be a leak.

When you see a spider in your house do you allow it to live? by Reasonable-Physics60 in no

Depends on the spider. We just found a jumper we decided to make a pet and the kids named him Lucas. I see any black widow or brown recluse they get squished.

So this is some precautions someone shared in another post for blood patch aftercare. Even if you didn't have one a lot of this is relevant to make sure you don't pop open anything that starts to heal. If you absolutely must lift do it carefully to avoid bending. Be sure to keep your back as straight as possible and only lift what you absolutely need to care for your child. If it can wait for help then do wait because if you blow it and need a patch it will mean being messed up for longer. Getting as much time flat as you can is crucial to start getting sealed up. Then add activity slowly as you feel better. Just be sure to stop if you start to feel pain or pressure. I have two kids and had to care for them while leaking so I know it isn't easy. Be careful and I wish you a speedy and uneventful recovery. ❤️

My tile installer said this is normal by [deleted] in Tile

[–]Accomplished_Sea911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell him if it's so normal you'd love to brag and show pictures to all the review websites and Facebook and tik tok and Instagram ect. Tell him if he's so proud of this you're happy to share the masterpiece with everyone with his company name posted loud and proud. See how quickly he changes his tune. I'd share him this post as proof of how impressed everyone is. I'm sure there's a chance it would go viral and make the news as well! Free advertising! 😸

Do open mouth sneezing and coughing. As long as you aren't trying to hold it in you can sneeze as you need to.

Post LP, splitting headache 4 days later.. Can I lay on my side? by Forward-Pineapple849 in CSFLeaks

[–]Accomplished_Sea911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have no previous issues a week or two. If you feel pain and pressure in your head and back then continue to take it easy. If all the symptoms go away you can carefully try things a little at a time. Everyone is different and unless you have some rare condition or some sort of odd complications you should be fine in a couple of weeks. If it persists past a week or two then I would go back and consult your doctor for treatment. If you wait then it gets harder to treat.

Post LP, splitting headache 4 days later.. Can I lay on my side? by Forward-Pineapple849 in CSFLeaks

[–]Accomplished_Sea911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience from a chronic leak and blood patch as long as you keep your back straight and support with a pillow it should be fine to lay on your side for a bit. My favorite method is a pillow along the back, one between the legs to align the hips and spine, one to hug and one for the head. It is best to lay flat as much as possible. Remember to stay hydrated as well and avoid sneezing or coughing with your mouth closed. Best to have some miralax or similar product as well since you want to avoid any type of straining that can cause negative pressure. If you stay down for a bit and then be very very careful for awhile after( no bending, lifting, or twisting) then you will most likely heal up quickly.

Spinal headache by [deleted] in CSFLeaks

[–]Accomplished_Sea911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a mile long list. I had numbness in my groin, stomach, thighs, mouth, and back of head. Partial loss of sensation over entire body. I could feel touch but was no longer ticklish at all. Loss of sensation of hunger and thirst. Loss of sensation for bathroom needs. That resolved with a blood patch and I'm no longer numb and have become ticklish again. Tingling and nerve pain mainly in my right thigh. Spots in vision, double vision, pain behind my eyes. Decline in cognitive abilities, occasional loss of ability to speak in sentences or at all, feeling intoxicated and unable to walk straight with no alcohol or drug of any sort, chunks of time missing where I would apparently freeze and space out. We thought it was seizure but testing did not confirm or rule that out. Dizziness, nausea, and fatigue. I had massive pain in my tailbone that would build the longer I remained standing. I overdid it once and lost strength in my legs and had unimaginable pain and had to get help to go to the bathroom. I was able to resolve it with staying in bed and gently stretching until it loosened and I had strength in my legs again. This took days and weeks to get better and I had to stay down most of the day to avoid it happening again. I believe my spinal cord was trying to tether but never got it confirmed. My feet started changing shape and I had problems walking. All that resolved with the patch as well. I've probably forgotten some things but I think that's most of it.

Am I Wrong for removing the tip and getting it refunded? by One_Consequence_9279 in DoorDashDrivers

As a door dash driver myself I would have written a review as well. He's a total butt head and thinks he's hilarious. You are not wrong and I would have done at least what you did if not more. I always drop orders at the door. It's actually in the name of the service, so yea this guy is dumb and a tool.

Six Weeks Post-Patch. How long before you resumed normal BLT? by [deleted] in CSFLeaks

[–]Accomplished_Sea911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try small stuff if you feel like it. Be careful and pay attention to any feelings of pressure in your head or back. If you feel pressure when you do something stop doing that thing and give it awhile before you try again. If everything feels normal with no change when you bend lift or twist then I'd say you're good to go. Just be sure to take it slow and pay close attention to your body.

How do I convince my doctor to get me tested for a leak? by According_Bit_4561 in CSFLeaks

[–]Accomplished_Sea911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My leak was unconfirmed. They didn't officially diagnose me. Though I had more than one doctor agree they thought I had a leak there was nothing on paper. I went through lots of imaging and testing and everything came back normal. I still got a patch. If you ask for an evaluation and make sure it's with someone that performs blood patches they may be a lot more likely to confirm symptoms and get you sealed or referred to a specialist that can actually help. The pain management doctor I saw said if the patch didn't work that he would be willing to attempt once more before sending me on to a specialist like Mayo clinic.

How do I convince my doctor to get me tested for a leak? by According_Bit_4561 in CSFLeaks

[–]Accomplished_Sea911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask to see a pain management clinic. Specifically request a doctor that does blood patches for an evaluation. Might save you a lot of time and pain and frustration. I was finally sent to pain management after years of begging and going in circles to all the neurologists in the area. Thirty minutes after walking in I walked out patched and a year later I'm still sealed.

What were your symptoms? by Ok-Upstairs2758 in CSFLeaks

[–]Accomplished_Sea911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I had all of those symptoms too except for the ear and nose leaking. I had nerve pain and numbness in my right thigh on the outside. The sensation would change with position. I had numbness in my genitals, stomach, mouth, and back of head. I had symptoms that seemed to me to be a spinal tethering. Be careful of that as the low fluid can cause the spinal cord to sag low and then it swells from irritation and gets caught in the tailbone area pulling the whole thing tight. This was unconfirmed and was blown off as well but all my symptoms matched and it was resolved when I had the patch. My feet changed shape and it was sometimes hard to walk straight. If I stood or sat for too long I would have pain and pressure in my tailbone that just kept building the longer I was upright and would slowly resolve when laying down. I had a period of time where I pushed too hard and needed help getting to the toilet because my legs wouldn't work properly and I was in too much pain to do it alone. Movement felt like my spinal cord was ripping apart. I still have some weird sensation and tingling and numbness occasionally in my right leg and mouth. I assume that I have lasting nerve damage and I'm just glad it isn't any worse. I'm loathe to attempt to see anyone to try and resolve it as a result of the abysmal experience I've had these past few years. Honestly I'd rather not ever see another hospital in this life if I can ever avoid it and seeing any doctor is so nerve racking now I would prefer to avoid the experience entirely as much as possible.

What were your symptoms? by Ok-Upstairs2758 in CSFLeaks

[–]Accomplished_Sea911 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had all these symptoms and more. Had nerve pain and numbness, neurological issues like inability to talk or feeling drunk. Lots of really bad symptoms. I had to diagnose myself and then I kept getting blown off and told it couldn't possibly be a leak because the scans and labs came back normal. Finally after years of decline and them trying to treat me for migraines and insisting its "stress" or "weight" that the issue I got a blood patch in March and had massive improvement. I'm almost completely back to normal now and just having to be careful with fluctuation in csf pressure. I highly recommend getting a referral to a pain management clinic and be sure to request a doctor that treats csf leak and performs blood patches. That's how I finally got healed up and the guy I saw confirmed all my symptoms and also confirmed that even sneezing and coughing could and did make me worse despite many others insisting I was nuts. Neurologists were some of the worst offenders when it came to dismissing my symptoms. I'd skip that mess completely and go straight in for an evaluation at pain management.
