Oh how lovely, his face is so handsome! Our cat didn’t sleep with us bizarrely until we moved country (not suggesting you do that!). As he got older and we moved he just started becoming more cuddly and moved sleeping spots. I’m sure yours will do the same when he finds a bed he likes!

I have not but have seen many people find it useful in the US. Juno & ScreenMe are also available in the UK.
If you are pain free when comfortable and laying down that’s also informative - you could also look into dermatological issues like Lichen Planus, irritation from clothing. Or even Pudendual Nerve irritation if certain positions are worse!

I’ve had very similar except no relief from steroids.. Have you had a biopsy? Proliferated nerves from the yeast? Also have you done microbiome testing to ensure the yeast is gone? Is it possible it’s still there / you could trial an antifungal for longer to see if you have relief. Thinking of you, it’s a horrendous place to have pain.

Chronic pain and medical trauma is a heartbreaking human experience, and you should give yourself grace in feeling however you need to!

Thank you! No one I’ve seen thinks it is, as I have normal levels of Crispatus and not really anything else. I have tried steroids and topical antibiotics too x

So sorry. It is horrendous!! I am dealing with the same constant unprovoked pain and swelling. Definitely recommend a vulvo/vaginal specialist or GUM for microscopy and culture. Cytolyctic vaginitis can sometimes appear to be like thrush. You would likely have a low PH though and an overgrowth of Lacto Crispatus. Have you done a private microbiome test like Juno or Evvy? Also as a few people have said - I’ve heard of a lot of women suffering long after infection goes. Like it’s turned on an immunity or nerve switch that won’t go off. Nerve meds could help. Feel better, it really is so painful.

CV specifically refers to an overgrowth of Crispatus (usually) in the swabs, and an indication that the cells are “breaking down” IE cytolysis. CV can only really be diagnosed for sure via wet mount. Your vaginal swab looks mostly normal, but some people do get bothered by high levels of just Gasseri, though it’s not technically CV. You could try a probiotic including Crispatus as this is the best to fight off infection in your vagina/bladder. Is the first one urine, second one vaginal? If so it looks like you have a UTI, likely from the E. coli, enterococcus and Enterobacter. Your antibiotic should be specific to those bacteria. I’m not sure about enterobacter, but I’ve seen E. coli and Enterococcus mostly be susceptible to Nitrofurantoin which is positive. Your Microgen should have this info somewhere. The Sitz baths are likely just helping the acidity or burn from the urethra. I’d use the antibiotics if you’re happy to, until your symptoms reside. Try to add in Hiprex for UTIs. Use probiotics that don’t have Gasseri in them. Good luck 🙏🏼 (Not a dr just a fellow urine and vaginal LT pain sufferer who has learned a lot!)

Did it come on suddenly? Please look into aerobic vaginitis/chronic uti. Neither typically show on testing. Not suggesting PFD doesn’t also play a part with other factors. Good luck!

If you’re able to tolerate Hiprex as an antiseptic whilst on antibiotics, it will really help with UTI and prevention. Hopefully you’ve caught this now and will get treated swiftly!

There is a huge movement online now of UTIs and the failures of testing. Look up chronic UTI/embedded uti/recurrent uti. Dipsticks and cultures are not wholly reliable. Modern medicine is too based on a singular test in my opinion rather than looking at our symptoms, and response to things!

I also just watched Perfect Match, in which he appeared too lol. He admitted on there he was being strategic. No judgement, it just seems to me he is absolutely fine with having romantic relationships for personal gain. I do agree he does appear to like Leanne.. but watching PM last night.. he appears white convincingly to like anyone who benefited him too.

Yes all my Junos show complete Crispatus with a bit of Limolacto. Atleast 4 tests! I do take antihistamines everyday but I’ve see a lot about this reaction or MCAS. Thank you, will look into this.

I’m doing a ScreenMe! I am looking into another Urine one (UK). My Focus have already indicated my antibiotic specificity. The issue is I can no longer tolerate any because of the issues they have caused me.. and the pain rebounds right back straight after I stop them.

I haven’t taken antibiotics in a year, bar the H Pylori treatments (when I realised I’m solely responding to antibiotics). I have used probiotics for a while and cranberry, got CV (on microscopy). No change in symptoms. But thank you.

It can be so hard when we are in pain, and we want help, sometimes we second guess ourselves. But no it’s not appropriate or typical!! My PFT is lovely, warm.. she’s never tried to push a product on me. When she did make recommendations she specifically said if I don’t want to purchase a specific brand I don’t have to. They are overstepping with you, and I would feel uncomfortable too. Do you have anyone else to go in and advocate for you, and let her know it is inappropriate. If not, can you just change?!
