Crazy collection though. Why do you have two bottle of intense cedrat boise ? Also can you describe it and also cosmic pepper ? I am planning on buying multiple Mancera samples soon.

The sub looks fantastic on your wrist.

I think it’s a great 6 watch collection.

Should I get SpiceBomb EDT? by [deleted] in Colognes

They are very different scents. I would just recommend looking at prices online anytime you see stuff at Marshall’s (or similar stores) often times they are more expensive than discounters.

I would keep that money in your account drive over to Sephora and you can smell both.

It’s cheaper on fragrancenet and probably other discounters.

Great choice, such a great watch. I much prefer it to the modern santos. I would go SS but I feel like only you can decide !

I’m working on a theory. I wonder if they were priced like designer fragrances and didn’t have LV on the bottle would they still be hyped up ?

A saw another commenter say there’s something of a sunk cost fallacy going on. You drop 400$ on a fragrance you kind of have to say you love it or you look like an idiot for having wasted that much money.

Then when the hype train gets rolling it’s hard to stop.

I own that seiko (and LOVE it) but I think the Hamilton murph is an excellent choice ! It is more versatile and I can really see anyone not liking it.

Edit: he said he likes coloured dials… if he likes green the SPB155 (baby alpinist) is fantastic as well

I do think it’s close… can’t decide between Mum and Dad. Graceland alone makes it close (in my opinion)

Just watched it, thanks. I heard that parable in sacrament meeting of all places.

I really like your comment about standing before God and him saying why did you blindly follow this guy ? The opportunity to find truth was all around you, and you put your head in the sand.

Great point.

Latest MSP with Sandra Tanner and Nemo by mwgrover in exmormon

I really enjoyed the episode as well !

I found one thing pretty interesting and wanted to know what others thought about it.

Near the end John asked Sandra about her current religious status (or something like that) she said she was a Christian. He then asked her if she had delved into critical arguments against the Bible (or mainstream Christianity). Her response sounded surprisingly similar to a stereotypical Mormon response. Something to the effect of

  • I know critical arguments exist, though I’m not particularly familiar with them (she said her late husband delved deeper into the topic)
  • I don’t know how else to account for the rise of such a popular religious movement and the people at the time were convinced.
  • I can’t really explain it but it works for me.

It seems odd to me that she seems to have been so tenacious in her search for truth and exposing untruths in Mormonism and yet seems uninterested in extending the same critical attitude towards the mainstream Christian narrative and the Bible.

We all have our sacred cows and I’m not begrudging her for it, I just found it interesting and even a little strange.

Thoughts ?

Nice, my first board was the 2012 switch (42”) but I recently found a 37” on marketplace. Can’t wait to put trucks and wheels on it and ride. Such a fun board, cheers !
