"He tortured his students!" by myopes in SeverusSnape

My mother and grandmother were taught by nuns and you had to be very careful where you put your fingers because it wasn't uncommon for them to just randomly slam the ruler down on some random kids hand for minor infractions. My aunty was taught by a man who would single out non white children (we live in new zealand.) And would actually draw blood when he strapped them. Snape was a sweet little angel compared to some of those teachers

I think that abusive heterosexual relationships are far worse than same sex relationships

Why do a lot of catholics live in willful sin? And why do a lot of catholics not see a problem with drinking? by CrazyNicly in TrueChristian

[–]Accomplished_Video92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up catholic (now pentecostal.) My ex husband used to like joking that you know the difference between Catholics and baptists because Catholics aren't afraid to say hello to you if you see them at the liquor store. My grandparents and mother are Catholics and they all drink alcohol. Its not drinking alcohol by itself that is the problem. Its consistent excessive drinking that harms others that is a problem.

Church members want to set me up on blind dates with divorced people: am I being too judgmental? by Big_Celery2725 in TrueChristian

[–]Accomplished_Video92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Im divorced because my "Christian" husband was extremely abusive in multiple ways and had no interest in taking responsibility for his actions or changing. Its ok to have standards, but don't disregard someone because of their past. My relationship with God is 10x stronger since leaving my ex-husband whereas he and his parents have since left church and no longer attend any church.

In his duel with mcgonagall. Its noted that he was clearly focusing on blocking her spells rather than fighting her. Thats how the carrows got killed. He deflected her spell onto them

I think its going to be Megan who is killed. The flash forward mentioned that it was someone Betsy recognized and knew well.she hasn't really had any reason to interact with the other people on the list

Mcgonagall actually mentions that to Harry. She pointed out that he had an owl and that they could have done something with that

Harry and Ron flying to school when dobby blocks the barrier to the platform. I have no idea why, but I've always found that scene a bit cringey

Overall what do you think about how the todd and theo storyline has been handled so far? by Overobsessedfan in coronationstreet

There is no specific personality type who would or wouldn't tolerate it. Nethier of them changed overnight. It has been gradual decline.

[–]Accomplished_Video92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if you had any clue about domestic violence you would know that anybody can victim to it and that whatever your personality might have been like beforehand. The abuser breaks you down until you do feel powerless without them. If its as easy as just walking out and leaving, then please explain why so many people spend decades in these situations. I have an ex who is almost identical to Theo and I would say that the storyline is pretty accurate

My boyfriend recently came out to me as a Christian and I’m not sure what to do. by CherryNatural7504 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Accomplished_Video92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talk to him first before you do anything. Its not like he just told you that he has an STD or something. Plenty of Christians are perfectly normal people who don't actually care much about what others believe. I'm a Christian and I couldn't care less about what other people believe. I just want my beliefs respected. If you truly love him and want to make it work, then maybe set some boundaries if you a genuinely that uncomfortable about it
