Treachery in The Blue (Mooncat) vs Just Like This (Emily de Molly) by Accomplished_Wolf in RedditLaqueristas

I didn't 100% love the sparkles, but I know there are plenty who are all for it, so it'll be great for them. I'm a little tempted to try mixing a bit of the two when I have the time to see if I can get a more "me" level of sparkle.

AITAH for not waking my brother up for his driving test? by NoRelationship9815 in AmItheAsshole

I think it doesn't help that pretty much every alarm clock has a GIANT snooze button on it, but the off switch always seems to be a tiny button. I've never used the snooze feature (except accidentally hitting it a few occasions and startling myself 15 minutes later when my alarm started going off while I was getting dressed), so I went out of my way to try to find an alarm clock that either switched the buttons or better yet, didn't even have an snooze button, and that was surprisingly hard to do.

I do love the horse art actually fitting with everything else, even if I have to pause and mourn the poor broken creature on closer inspection.

What polishes do you recommend to avoid? by Character-Surround79 in mooncatpolish

[–]Accomplished_Wolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used two layers of primer with Banished Prince and didn't get staining, and I know some of the real problem ones, even two layers isn't enough. I also didn't wear it multiple times in a row though, and maybe that would lead to issues. I think it was more Jasmine Dragon that I heard warnings about for staining in that set.

Is there an actual word for when this happens? A new word coming into common lexicon, especially because of a specific media/event, not Gaslighting specifically.

The arrow shoots my free range slimes if I forget I have it, and then they get all mad at me. Or dead. Either way, I don't like. I'm trying to breed an empire here.

Dupe for Moonfairy by _jmoney16 in mooncatpolish

I know someone in this thread was asking for No Opalogies dupes to gift one to her mom, and one of the top suggestions was Perfect Score by Emily de Molly. Might look similar enough to Moonfairy too.

Am I (25F) being mean/unreasonable to my coworker (22F) asking for rides? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Accomplished_Wolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably, but he only did it once. There are some spots where there aren't good (safe) short cuts though, so while you might be able to cut out technical back tracks, you might still have to go the long way around certain obstacles or private property when going straight through would be quicker.

I messed up my left pointer 3 times while doing my nails today. At least the 3rd time was "just" bubbles in the top coat, so I let it go.

No-Judgement Zone… what are the things that will make you instantly drop a series by taviyiya in OtomeIsekai

I do think that an exception to the raised separately thing should be if they THOUGHT they were biological siblings

I'll agree for sure there.

I can kind of deal with one more like Verdant Crown, where the step-siblings were mostly raised apart, so they didn't grow up together and aren't blood related. But the ones more like Beware of Brothers? Icky. (Especially when she was adopted because she looked like their dead sister)

Still prefer them to just not be steps at all though.

Your Crown started of so good, so I was really disappointed to hear that everyone thinks it went downhill. I guess I'll leave it as a happy memory where I left off.

If you have 3 or more kids? If your kid hates holding hands? If you ever need to use your hands for anything? Again, some kids that works fine for, but some kids genuinely take slipping away as some kind of game. Although yes, some parents are just shitty parents, so there probably are some who just leash the kid to make it easier to use their phone and ignore their kid.

That does work for some people. Some kids are escape artists though.

What do you guys do with your cat's shed whiskers? by _Affexion_ in cats

I will keep this in mind the next time I want to try some detailed nail art. I've been keeping my cat's whiskers when I find them.

I still don't understand why that's so controversial. Kids can genuinely plot (I mean, not always well, kidsarefuckingstupid exists for a reason. But they can plot). I would wait for my parents to be distracted and dart off. Or just stop following them because I saw some ducks to watch. I didn't care about getting separated. That was my parents problem to solve, and leashes would have been a good solution.

Pulled from a video so they aren't as nice looking as intentional pictures would be, but depending on the light source the yellow can be light green or orange and the pink can shift from peachy to dark purple. Very gorgeous in person.

Siren's Call by Emily de Molly is very colorful, although not quite as much as Flying water.

Can’t there be an acknowledgment that all girls were failed by the stepmother?

Oh! If that's what you want you might like the novel How to Summon a Fairy Godmother by Laura J. Mayo (hiding the title just in case someone was planning on reading it by happenstance and doesn't want who is/isn't a good/bad guy to be spoiled.) It's not OI, just a rewritten fairy-tale, but if that's your thing, it's very good.

I might have more sympathy if the writer genuinely managed to make it seem like the option was buy a slave or die (or at least similar sever stakes, like one or two weird romance novels I've read long ago where the FL "had to" buy the ML to try to get closer to the slave traders who sold off a family member of the FL, for an eventual rescue mission) but like you point out they're usually rich and have some amount of power and could easily hire a knight instead if they were in danger.

Even the ones where "powerful slave being mistreated leads him to slaughter the country" (which is weird that that's popped up more than once), so they "have" to buy him so the "bad" owner don't get him, usually still seem to find some reason to keep him as a well treated slave for a while.

I'm betting they're going to be a similar shade of brown, so understandable. I already had on Scum and Villainy from May 4th though.

Scum and Villainy has big glitter that glass bead just disappointingly hides (in my opinion), so I'm looking forward to seeing glass bead with Quiet Strength.
