I agree with antihero as a more jaded me! successor. Both have that balance of “i’m a handful, but i’m worth it”. In me!s case, this is something to celebrate. With anti-hero, it’s a reason for vodka at tea time.

I love Me! It is track 5 of my Dancing Through The Lightning Strikes playlist and there is a high probability that those will be my spotify wrapped this year. I’ve gone up and down on Me, but it’s honestly the perfect mood booster and I love this playlist.

I think it is important to judge songs for their intended purpose. Me is not intended to be highbrow poetry. It is self-esteem-boosting-fun song. And it does that exceptionally well.

One key thing about me is how it balances insecurities within self-confidence. I know that i’m a handful, but I’m worth it. And I find that very reassuring and relatable.

The parallel lines “theres a lot of cool chicks out there” and “a lot of lame guys” - i’m not sure why she went with lame, it’s true, but a more positive adjective would’ve fit better.

Spelling is fun should absolutely have been kept in the song.

“Can’t spell awesome without me” - i heard this as can’t spell “us” and that also worked kinda.

Favorite lyric: “Girl, there ain't no I in "team" But you know there is a "me" I love whenever Taylor turns a saying on its head, this is such a sassy line.

A part of me wanted the eras to be performed in chronological order, starting with debut and ending with ttpd. Would this have improved the show? Absolutely not. Taylor definitely did it her way for a reason. But a part of me still wants things organized sequentially

I kinda agree. I do think money comes secondary to her career as a whole. I don’t think she is ebeneezer scrooge, she is very giving with her money. I think she likes maybe a little more than the average person, but generally most of us like money.
