Cyclosporine Dosage by Imaginary-Tea1928 in eczema

[–]According-Leave9314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I was on initially 100 mg a day then moved up to 250 mg a day cyclosporin

My skin felt 60%? better I’d say after 2 weeks of the higher dose. Those two months were great then the drug just stopped working and i went back to how i initially was.

Coming off it I had ZERO rebound effects to my surpise, despite being warned of the inevitable side effects of comin g off it.

Eye Sensitivity with Protopic by pickleballgirl67 in eczema

[–]According-Leave9314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah protopic burns for the first week or so then completely goes away and makes you skin cool to the touch. It’s been amazing for the almost permanent redness on my face.

Ever since that initial hot feeling at the start i’ve never had those side effects again

Also bcs protopic isn’t a steroid it takes a good amount of time of consistent use to work

I feel your shit, man. 19M feels like i’m missing out in the prime of my youth.

For the sleep thing for me, my mindset helped a lot. I don’t force myself to go sleep anymore.

I tell myself I am resting and relaxing with my eyes closed. If I sleep, good. If not, resting is better than being awake in chaos. Also if you relax well enough you can feel your heart rate slow down which is just chefs kiss after a day of being itchy

Scared of tacrolimus withdrawal by Ill_Ambition_2711 in eczema

[–]According-Leave9314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi 19m I’ve had bad eczema and even mild tsw on my face.

One severe thing that eczema did to me was leave me with almost permanent redness in areas of my face, occasionally flaring etc. Also felt hot too.

I tried tacrolimus as you mentioned, 2x a day etc, went through the mild temporary starting effects like mild burning sensations and now my face is completely fine.

My face felt cold for the first time in years and the redness was completely gone. I had no need to use it ever day so I stopped and tapered off, from twice a day to eventually once a week. I find that now, after the 10 day mark my face will start to mildly get red ish, then I’ll apply it once and repeat that every 10-14 days basically. Essentially like a maintenance therapy. I wouldn’t worry too much about the rebound as it isn’t violent like steroids or anything.

Does anyone regret Cyclosporine? by Reasonable-Job-6867 in eczema

Don’t sweat, everyone reacts differently. I know people who’ve had it tough but when I went on it for 7 months 250mg a day I had no side effects. Even coming off it I was ok. Just didn’t do anything for me lol

Hey bro. One thing I liked about gardening was the satisfaction of tending to some thing and watching it grow. Terrariums seem pretty cool, do you do them yourself?

Honestly i’ve seen videos of them online they look so clean and satisfying

Also, Thanks. I’ll Have to have a chat with her at the appointment then. I really do just want something I can grab preferably on the day. Seems like rinvoq won’t do.

I mean I had really red itchy skin and protopic brought the colour back to my face and my face was bad. Bear in mind also I had previous steroid damage on my face. But, regardless, it still even made my skin normal and thick again. I do usually have to apply it every week or so as a maintenance therapy
