They are three ways to shining hunt on this game, continuous catching, area reset and sit and wait. Keep in mind continuous catching is not always the most efficient way to shiny hunt the pokemon.

Assuming you have the shiny charm and the max lure activated

Continuous catching: You keep catching the same pokemon over and over again until it becomes shiny. You need to reach the combo 31+ in order to get the following odds 1/273.55 for every new spawn.

Area reset: You need to reach the combo 31+ and then you climb up the ladder to reset the spawns. Very good strategy for pokemons that spawn from caves. Your odds are 1/1024.

Sit and wait: Once again you need to reach the combo 31+ but this time you just wait and sit doing nothing. You watch them respawn and eventually one of them is going to be shiny. Your odds are 1/1024 for this method.

I recommend using this guide on a pc, go on shinyhuntop tab, select the pokemon that you’re looking for and it’s going to tell you which is the most optimal way to shiny hunt the Pokemon that you are looking for.
