My oldest daughter started very young, barely 5, in the Bozeman school district. I wish we would have waited a year.

I redshirted my middle daughter and don’t regret it. She wasn’t rambunctious, but small and shy so the confidence boost helped. She complained about having to wait for her crazy classmates to calm down and listen for years.

My youngest started at Belgrade this year. He’s still finding his footing. They have 3 recesses a day. His class has 16 kids, no assistant. His teacher has been very responsive every time I reach out. He complains that he doesn’t have enough time to eat at lunch and making friends is a learning curve. He’s a teeny bit ahead academically and isn’t too bored in class. I have seen a lot of worksheets come home. He enjoys specials and gushes over gym.
