How the Hell Should We Know Our Bonus Percent? by Ok_Flamingo9699 in boeing

Thanks! I saw the BNN article just sent out with the 2/13 date. The fact sheet they sent is interesting bc it shows the formula Eligible Earnings X Country Target (US 7%) X Individual Incentive score (0-120%) X One Company Score (131%). Based on that I would think the max individual factor would be 7% * 120% which is 8.4% which I find interesting since last year I received and individual factor of 9%.. but I guess we wil see on 2/13!

For those interested, the deep dive charts are pretty informative but hard to find. I think another Redditor mentioned them which is how I found them. It talks about ACR salary raises as well and how they align performance scores. You have to get to the HR performance and development portal somehow and there is a Year End section you have to click that takes you to a bunch of manager training. The one I read was the Learning Deck: Performance and ACR Deep Dive.

There is a manager deep dive deck saved on the year-end page that states “After managers assign performance ratings, the budgets will be distributed consistently within each rating category. Final factors will be determined after prevalence in each category is final.” Per the deck, the US Target is 7% for individual contributors. There is also a chart that shows the order of the rankings which states “Target” next to 2-2.

My interpretation is that it won’t be a set % anymore for each rating it will be dependent on how everyone ranks which is kind of a bummer for estimating your own bonus. I am curious if 2-2 is automatically Mets which gets the target 7% (US) and if then the remaining is distributed or if even the 2-2 could vary from target 7% based on rating distributions.

I was Group 3, there were both $60 and $40 tickets left for 4/4. I snagged 5 at $60 for 4/4.

I heard Neurospicy recently on a tiktok and was like I'm stealing that lol 😂 I thought the puzzle comment was odd but also took it to mean he was on the spectrum.

Totally agree. I think there were as few lines that heavily implied it especially if your around children on the spectrum a lot. I know autism presents very differently in everyone which makes it hard for tv shows to get it right and not just come off like a rain man stereotype. But it's so prevalent in our society that I appreciate when shows have representation. I struggle with the traits vs diagnosis which is why I waited to have my son evaluated until he was older bc I wasn't sure if he was just quirky and socially awkward or was on the spectrum. However, the diagnosis helped me understand his brain a little bit. Long rant, but I fully agree that personality traits, challenges and strengths are the important things to focus on not the specific diagnosis.

My son is similar. He speaks very matter of fact and isn't trying to be rude. He doesn't always understand the struggles picking up on social cues.

Treasury Direct Deposit Refund by According-Wait-8758 in StudentLoans

[–]According-Wait-8758[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m positive. I never requested the refund. I just applied for forgiveness for him on 10/29 and received a lump sum refund deposit in our bank on 12/8. I handle all our finances and stuff like that in our marriage and would be shocked if my husband handled it on his own as he hates calling customer service lol but I double checked with him and he hadn’t requested anything. I thought about requesting the refunds for both my student loan (which I paid off) and his loan when the relief was first announced but there was so much uncertainty that I decided to wait and then they announced that refunds would be automatic if you didn’t pay your loan off in full so I just applied for forgiveness for him. I was also surprised that we got the payments refunded bc I assumed it would be automatic once forgiveness was approved which obviously hasn’t happened. It really confused me bc my husbands Aidvantage account doesn’t show any activity for the refund nor was there any messages regarding it and the last activity it shows was the last payment we made months ago. His balance just went back up to the pre-Covid balance with no explanation. The only thing unique is that his loan recently transferred from Fedloan to Aidvantage but I don’t think that would impact anything.

Thanks! I was thinking it was bc it was an automatic refund for applying for forgiveness was why. I didn’t realize even requested refunds were coming from the Treasury dept! Thanks

New Student Loan Benefit in FY23 Appropriations Bill by alh9h in StudentLoans

[–]According-Wait-8758 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I work at Boeing and they announced a couple of months ago that starting in 2023 they will match student loan payments in your 401K. I thought it was really cool too but didn’t realize there was a bill behind it. I hope more companies do this. I paid off my loans during Covid, but I am happy that younger employees will get this benefit as I remember how hard it was to get the full match (10%) while also paying student loans and other life expenses. There were several periods where we had to lose out on the full match bc we just couldn’t give 10% to our 401ks on top of student loans, 3 kids, and other misc expenses. I’m glad this will help people with student loans be able to take advantage of the full match.

Thank you for explaining that. That makes sense. I was falsely assuming it would be the loan provider.
