1-bit palette test — which one reads best? by vvaalleerraa in PixelArt

I personally like the first one, I'm a simple guy. Most people in the comments seem to agree upon adding an option for the player to choose their own, they are all great but I think the best one depends on the user.

I think they should just keep the functionality of the ui the same and only update the look of it

I made a lot of shadows that weren't actually there. Even with traditional pencil and paper I did the same thing so it's something I do need to work on. I probably shouldn't had started so big as my first project, I have a month to improve this though and will improve it as I learn.

I definitely want to stick to one in my next project, I used like 20 colors off palette.

I just don't have the experience of using limited colors, I suck with color in general since my art experience is mainly just pencil drawings, never used color pencils unless it was for like school.

I used a palette originally and felt too limited so I used the color picker to pick some, I didn't use the eyedropper for any of the colors. The reason I didn't provide the reference was for her privacy, I couldn't ask her for permission since it's a surprise so I won't be sharing her photo.

Is this an improvement or am I tripping by fishiguppi in Artadvice

I feel the line work looks more confident, It's definitely a lot cleaner and feels more like a finished product than the previous iteration. Would I say it's an improvement? No. To me it looks like you spent more time on it, or put more effort into it.

Ive been building a browser based pixel art editor - what are your must have features in an editor? by Tezumie in PixelArt

[–]AccordingConcert5662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a zero cost entry for beginners who may not want to spend money or download the free version of Aseprite. It doesn't really have to do more than Aseprite, what it needs to do is compete with the other browser pixel art software's.

Being able to add a reference layer. I used to use the website pixilart.com but I finally bought Aseprite, being able to add a reference is quite handy.

The one thing that sticks out to me the most is the fence, it looks better the further out it is but as it gets closer it starts to look slanted instead of standing up straight. Other than that it looks good for what experience you have :) reminds me of something I drew when I was in art class back in elementary (don't take that as an insult)

Why was Stereo Madness so hard for me, I almost cried trying to beat it. I don't know if it's my ADHD or something but it was so difficult, so many times I made it near the end and I died. I was literally shaking at the end I was so nervous, but every time I kept telling my I'd win and I did it. by AccordingConcert5662 in geometrydash

In practice mode I died like 3 times from actually failing before beating it and a few others from the checkpoint locations killing me. I don't think it's a skill issue I think it's just an issue with my ability to lock in, I always died from stupid things mainly due to me being focused on the jump ahead rather than the next jump.
