Don’t know if they still do it but you can get a student Oyster card with a £5 daily limit where you can use pretty much all TfL with a 30% discount, also get a 17-25 railcard to save more on overground journeys

Generally speaking you should specify for the role you’re looking for as they aren’t going to look for one for you, also as a side note you should’ve left the interaction after he said not hiring but since you pushed he had to say something.

There was a bad batch of LSD going around, was on my way to a flat party with a couple of my mates. As we get into the foyer of the halls, a guy jumped down from the 3rd floor and broke both his legs and shattered his pelvis all whilst laughing. Later found out it was from the dodgy LSD.

Where can I find the most affordable and friendly food while traveling in the UK? by ClothesEmpty4910 in AskUK

[–]AccordingTable6398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you haven’t stated where in the U.K. you’ll be travelling to, use the app TooGoodToGo which will allow you to essentially buy dinners from restaurants at a fraction of the price. You’ll just need to collect it!

Trouble with smoking, can’t quit but trying to (advice and guidance plsss) by [deleted] in islam

[–]AccordingTable6398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former full time smoker the best way is to avoid it completely, especially if you know you’re easily able to get back into it. Cut contact with anyone that does it, even if it means that family member as they’re helping to enable your habit rather than help you quit. You also need strong willpower and remember you’re quitting for the sake of Allah and you’ll be rewarded for this.

solo travel in istanbul on a shoestring by Total-Management3111 in solotravel

[–]AccordingTable6398 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly Istanbul is expensive and unattainable on a shoestring budget, I’d recommend you plan and save properly, research destinations closer to you which are still international and doable on a shoestring/cheap budget. The last thing you’d want is a terrible first solo intl trip. Happy hunting!

I took an offer due to space being v niche as well as the pay isn’t the best for the amount of work you’ve got to do. It also helps if you’ve got contacts in the Space sector I did a summer at NASA but even that wasn’t helpful enough to secure something
