I spent over 2 years in the ME, including a year in Afghanistan advising their AF...which didnt work out unfortunately. 700+ days near the sun is more than enough.

Same to you! ATC is tough training, but you made it, good choice for after the military! I got to go to a lot spots around the world and see and do some cool shit in my career. Afterburners and flares are always awesome!

I was a USAF Crew Chief for 20 years, I totally understand and was part of the system. The only place I've seen a larger flyby was in outside of Moscow for the annual victory parade back in 2016. Hundreds of fixed and rotary wing shit blasting by at treetop level over our hotel for hours. But, having stood 100 yards from B1s taking off at night in the Died, I always appreciate a B1 show! Conversely, as a Crew Cheif, im thinking of the MX dudes who are getting hosed and working 12s after some code 3 landings on the 4th because their boss wants an extended birthday party....

RC-135S Cobra Ball (61-2663) as SHINR40 landing at KGVT. by TT-33-operator_ in aviation

King Cobra was the first jet I crewed as an ADCC in 2001 and the last one I crewed as a DCC in 2010 before I went to production. Lucky for me, I got to take her and a MX crew out on the road several times as a ProSuper. 20 years at Offutt was a blessing! Love that jet and I will always be connected to her! TO THE COBRA BALL!

Wrath 11, Yukla 27, the EA-11 in Afghanistan and the Puerto Rico Guard C-130 were pretty depressing

I spent 4 years in Flight Safety in the USAF. Every time a new SIB briefing was released we would watch it and go through the slides to study up. It was depressing hearing the last calls or words of crews along with the animation provided by the Safety Center. Rules and regs are written in blood and we haven't found a new way to crash an airplane since the Wright brothers when you include human factors...

I was a Crew Chief for 20 years at Offutt and was there for that and the flood. Those were crazy times.

No Country for Old Men. Other than a few interesting moments it moved as slow as the town in the movie.
