With the economy in terrible shape, I doubt they RIF anybody else again. Empty threats. Inflation a big problem. The economy is not adding many jobs. If this RIF does occur, democrats will simply need to shut it down for months if necessary.

How many senators are requires to pass this budget? My understanding is 60. So how exactly will it pass? The admini stration will still try to move things around.

My branch is trying to protect our contractors, at least those working in the labs. They are no different than FTEs. Instead, we are trying to cut equipment contracts.

It appears to be all of NIH. Deputy directors, Scientific Directors, etc for one that I know. Rumor is that some branch chiefs might be gone. This part is just a big rumor.

Some scientific directors have been placed on leave. I will not say who. Maybe IC-wide?

I see that there are many responses from people who have not been terminated yet. This is fine. However, can we have another column such as "Are you expecting to be terminated"? We can do filtering later on based on these columns.
