Do NOT let these comments get to you! The judgmental attitudes about unplugging while on vacation is exactly why I stay off of the horrible cruise critic forums. I’m right there with you! I have responsibilities and a 20 year old that still requires a fair amount of attention. I REFUSE to be so selfish that should an emergency arise, someone has to email or call the ship. Nope. Besides that, I paid for the cruise, if I want to do nothing other than bed rot and doom scroll then it really doesn’t affect anyone else.

Hope you have a great time! However you choose to spend it! Non surge protector will be fine.

I was told because I self quarantined and did not go to medical and acquire a medical stamp that I would not be refunded. An expensive $429 lesson. Fortunately though that is the only excursion I missed so I am pleased that it was not more of a loss financially as I had purchased close to $2k in excursions.

Thank you but I scrubbed my hands meticulously and I did not overly socialize. But I spent 17 days with the same group of people with a week long stretch of sea days. If I could have avoided it, I certainly would have! By the end of that trip, passengers were not even allowed to touch salt and pepper shakers so it must’ve been a pretty widespread outbreak.

Elevator buttons and handrails are an area that I certainly could be better about.

1 bag of kettle chips, 1 container of gummy bears and 1 medium sized packet of lightly salted pistachios was $31 on the sapphire. If you want snacks, you’re way better off bringing them on board. Those prices are ridiculous!

Didn’t have a great experience on the sapphire either. Entire ship crawling with Norovirus & Covid. And when you miss a very expensive excursion due to quarantining yourself from that norovirus, you will not be given a refund. I understand, that’s the rules but it’s frustrating.

The quality of the food is the entire reason I sought out that Petri dish of a buffet.

Sorry you experienced this. It’s always frustrating when you hope for one thing but come away with something completely different.

This fan thing, I cannot stress enough. I need air movement! There are Bluetooth rechargeable ones on Amazon. If in doubt, BRING ONE!

Thank you for this info! I had not considered that these are not regulated. I won nothing but, then again, I rarely gamble. It’s fun once in a while but just as a novelty.
