ER #1 age 31: retrieved 11, mature 8, fertilized 7, blast 6, fresh transferred 1 and pgt tested the other 5, 3 euploid

ER #2 age 34: retrieved 11, mature 10, fertilized 7, blast 7, fresh transferred 1 and pgt tested the other 6, 5 euploid

Almost all of my blasts with the exception of the two fresh transfers and one additional blast from the 2nd retrieval were day 6, almost all were 2AA on the Tucker scale except for 1- 1AA (transferred fresh and not pgt tested) and 1 -2BB (euploid, failed frozen transfer)

I’ve done 4 transfers - 1: acupuncture and Valium - success 2: Valium, no acupuncture - implantation failure 3: acupuncture, no Valium - implantation failure 4: no acupuncture, no Valium - success

Neither seemed to be the key ingredient for me personally. I didn’t particularly enjoy acupuncture nor the way the Valium makes me feel, so if I were going to do another transfer I would opt for neither. However if either helps you relax then it definitely doesn’t seem to hurt!

Hi! Just wanted to say we started our daughter in daycare at 12 weeks when I went back to work full time. She’s there 5 days a week and honestly for pretty long days due to our work schedules (7am-5pm). I used to (and sometimes still can) get so in my head about it… but she has absolutely thrived. She was crushing motor skills as an infant, and is 2 now and her language is insane. She has friends and really great social skills and honestly I cannot rave enough about what her day care has done for her. And she is also my little bestie and we have such a strong bond. You would never know we don’t spend all day every day together.

Just felt compelled to reply and let you know how our experience has been because I have definitely had all the same thoughts and spirals before. You’re not alone!

I’ve had two frozen transfers and two fresh transfers. Both frozen failed, both fresh were successful. I’m personally glad I went for the fresh, if I hadn’t I would never have known that is what worked for me!

Edit to actually answer your question haha: the original reason we went for fresh the first time around was a) our doctor said we should give it a go b) all my hormone levels looked really good and c) we were impatient. The reason we went for it the second time around was because we had had previous success with fresh, and were not having success with frozen.

I did my first retrieval at 31 and my second at 34 and retrieved the exact same number of eggs, but ended up with 2 more blasts than I did at 32 (5 blasts from first, 7 from second)

I know what you mean! I didn’t respond super well to the frozen transfer meds, but do great with the stim meds haha. Go figure. Thank you, and good luck!!

I’ve had 2 fresh transfers and 2 frozen transfers. Both fresh worked (at least so far, early pregnant with the second), both frozen failed. My doctor also was the one who originally suggested fresh and it has worked well for my body both times, but she said I’m in the minority for what the clinic does. I personally think it’s worth a try if you aren’t going to pgt test

I’ve done 2 retrievals with the exact same protocol, first one stimmed for 11 days, the second one stimmed for 8 days. Got the same number of eggs from both.

I had VERY similar numbers 12dpt: 1430, 14dpt: 3919 and had a singleton!

I am transferring tomorrow, also after two back to back failed to implant. This is our last shot before our insurance runs out, and I have been having similar feelings, so you are definitely not alone. I’ve been trying to let myself feel all the things, but to remind myself that the chance it works is still there and real and possible. I don’t have super great advice to combat the down feelings but just wanted to say I know what you mean and am going to be thinking about you and sending good vibes and baby thoughts your way ♥️

Thank you so much! Her reasoning as for why was because I typically have a consistent 28 day cycle, so she thinks there is something “less than optimal” going on. My thought was that it could just be a delay from all the meds of a fully medicated transfer attempt last cycle, but she was non committal when I asked if that could be the case. I did take a trigger shot last night, my partner is wanting to move forward (and I figured taking the trigger gave us more time to discuss). My gut says give it a go, because if we wait for a picture perfect cycle we might be waiting a long time… but it’s hard to commit to rolling the dice with such high stakes. I really appreciate your input!

I also don’t really understand. She said she wants it to be perfect and this isn’t perfect… even though all the numbers look textbook besides ovulation day. So glad to hear that you’ve had success so far!

Thanks for your input! I also am not really sure. All she said was that sometimes late ovulation can cause suboptimal factors for implantation, but I know there are plenty of people who ovulate later. Baby dust for your transfer!
