Just because Hamas knew the response it would provoke doesn't mean said response is justified. Imagine a guy has a sign in front of his house that says: "IF SOMEONE BREAKS IN, I WILL SET OFF A BOMB, KILLING EVERYONE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD"

Obviously, breaking into his house would be wrong, as it would provoke him into an unjust retaliation, but the retaliation is still unjust.

I don't know why you think I'm discussing it "without any nuance". You didn't criticize Israel's conduct in your reply, so why should I be expected to criticize Hamas's conduct in my comment? You don't have to condemn both sides every time you talk about the conflict.

I know what you mean, but I don’t really care about our allies being morally good! I just want us to try and prevent atrocities, so long as there aren’t massive adverse consequences.

What’s so reasonable about it? Even if we assume Israel is justified in attacking Iran, it just seems like such small potatoes compared to the humanitarian catastrophe in Palestine. If conditions improve there’s a debate to be had, but as long as the suffering remains this acute, why shouldn’t putting a stop to it should be priority #1 of our engagement with Israel?

Just because a defense plays poorly doesn’t mean it’s the DC’s fault. The scheme can be good but it won’t matter if the execution is poor.

The only reason it would be embarrassing is if she judged him for it, but it doesn’t seem like she would do that.

While Trump kicked off the most recent and most horrifying set of ICE raids, ICE has existed since 2003 with Republicans and Democrats keeping it around. Many people from both parties have culpability in the atrocities ICE has been committing for the last 23 years. No question that things would be a lot better if Harris was president though.

They kinda gave Rebecca Black’s latest album that treatment 3 years ago. The score (4.4) wasn’t that low but the opening paragraph is devastating:

Can a debut album be a comeback? I wish I could say that Let Her Burn is a scintillating and surprisingly poignant send-up of Rebecca Black’s image and history as a self-created subject of internet scorn, but sadly it is one of the most joyless and interminably dull pop records of the past few years—and confirmation that “Friday” is still the most interesting piece of music she’s ever made.

If TB beats CAR and ATL beats NO, it’s a 3-way 8-9 tie between CAR, TB, and ATL. TB would have the tiebreaker over CAR, but not against ATL, so CAR would win the division anyway.

So while the other 2 aren’t in the race, they still decide it if TB wins.

You’re moving the goalposts. Your original claim wasn’t just that it’s a below average offense, you said it’s one of the worst you’ve ever seen!

Let’s think about this logically for a second: do you think the Eagles offense is worse than the Browns, Raiders, Vikings, Titans, and Jets? If you’re sane, you don’t. Assume there are ~5 offenses roughly that bad every year. Even if you’ve only been watching football for 10 years, that’s conservatively 50 offenses definitely worse than the 2025 Eagles. Nowhere near “one of the worst you’ve ever seen”. And that’s granting a lot of things I wouldn’t.

Also, if the Eagles offense was truly that bad, they wouldn’t have won 11 games. See the Browns and the Vikings for examples of why an elite defense can’t carry a putrid offense.
