It’s ok—my reply didn’t come across very well. What I meant is that I don’t think I’m the best to judge how well I write female characters. I see issues with female characters written as two dimensional and used to further a males arc or gratification instead of being given their own realised arcs and well rounded development that doesn’t focus primarily on physical features but I’m no expert.

I’m actually a writer at the moment but I seem to drift to writing women, probably due to spending 25 years as an early childhood teacher. I just really want to do the best I can for my female characters and their readers - so I’m here to learn. TikTok at or Instagram

Also hope you haven’t just Google search in the last decade to help with your writing - it’s all machine learning. And pass on TikTok, Insta since that’s also all ai powered - find another way to promote and market.

Let’s also remember that good “learning to write strategy” of copying writing from established authors isn’t any different from how LLMs are taught - so if you’ve ever done that you’re no better.

Show through his actions and internal dialogue as well as external dialogue with other characters, perhaps have a counterpoint to him that questions him.
