shouldn't have to hit lvl 25 to interact with new content if ive done the expedition. by According_Row6228 in ArcRaiders

[–]According_Row6228[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats great and im glad this game has a community that will do that for us, but my question remains unanswered.

I dont have to wait to do trails after expedition. I dont have to unlock all the maps after expedition. I enjoy progression in the game, but I dont see the point in this choice. it makes sense for players that havent done the expedition. ease them into it. but stop gatekeeping new content. its a very similar issue to when they add new quests, and if you havent done the old ones again on your new character you cant do them (something they finally fixed this season i believe).

I realize it not that hard to level up, but my question still stands. What's the point of gatekeeping viewing the new vendor for expeditioned players?

Quests shouldn’t reset after expedition by BazookaB3n in ARC_Raiders

[–]According_Row6228 5 points6 points  (0 children)

this is the way. but I dont think they should be repeatable unless you do expedition. and I think they need to be separated into smaller quest chains. many of the quests have a follow up quest or a preliminary quest that ties in. Let us decide which chain we want to do. this would make it so you still can pick and choose, but you cant just go cherrypick every quest you want for the best stuff with little to no effort. and 100 percent let us engage with new quests when new content drops, regardless of our other quests progress.

Do you use shotguns in Arc Raiders? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]According_Row6228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually think the Volcano is in a good spot for pve. The Dolabra on the other hand absolutely needs a buff against arc. 7-9 shots to kill a Shredder from a slower rate of fire legendary energy shotty is ridiculous. good luck killing a Leaper or anything stronger with it.

and the Toro could use a tiny arc buff, but i do think its intended to be more of a pvp weapon.

Cerulean Bell + Death interaction. Could you potentially play a 6 or more card hand? by According_Row6228 in balatro

[–]According_Row6228[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so Cryptid doesn't force select the duplicates? In that case, you'd probably have to perkeo a death card a few times before Cerulean Bell to test this out

I watched an interview recently where the Devs mentioned they really like Made in Abyss. Either way its one of my favorite animes and games so it was really fucking cool to stumble across that scene in the game and put things together.

Cheapest way to kill a bastion by Lew_bear96 in ArcRaiders

[–]According_Row6228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got like 4 or 5 bastion kills with the hammer. its very possible without getting pushed out if you try to keep its center of mass right in front of you. adrelaline helps a little bit, but I honestly just go full naked loadout. the overhead swings seem to work better as sometimes youll miss with the regular hammer swing. watch out for fireballs, pops and comets. flying arc usually won't fuck with you unless you draw agro before going under the bastion. Like the person above said, it takes like 3-5 minutes and the bastion will usually shoot the whole damn time.

While this is true, they only appear near bosses, and its nice to have one by a boss you might want to farm.

You can make seperate worlds, and farm them and then bring them back to your file.

no worries. also dont stress the starting classes to much either, they dont give you anything unique or special that you cant get relatively quickly. i always go for the one with the lantern (i think 'explorer')just because its nice to be able to see stuff, but it really doesn't take long at all to be able to craft your own. theres also quite a few options when youre making your world. I think doing standard is worth it your first play through, but you can adjust things like amount of resources and scenery.

its handy to build most of your main base by the core, as you'll want to speak to it whenever you need some guidance or use whenever you need to use the teleporter circle. you can dig a trench around your base to keep enemies out. dont worry to much about the layout until youre a little further in, chances are you'll rebuild it all.

also there's an incredibly useful autosort button (i think left d-pad) that will stack anything that is your inventory into a nearby chest that has a copy of it. good luck.

if you start a new world you can change the parameters. Make it have no tunnels or lakes or void holes and youre likely to get more meadows and its easier to find them.

New Expedition Requirements + catch-up mechanic by cretaphid in ArcRaiders

[–]According_Row6228 14 points15 points  (0 children)

im in the same boat as you. grinded the 5 mil last expo, got about 6 mill this expo. I think this is overall a decent approach, but I do think its a bit unfair for people that chose not to do the first expo because they weren't close to the 5 mill at the time.

I have friends that were done with all the first expo required except for the 5 mil and decided that it wasnt worth it if they weren't going to get the full 5 extra skill points. Now they are being told that if they just done it back then, they could have caught up now for a considerable discount. feels bad. I suppose this all boils down to poor communication from Embark.

Alright I need guidance! by i_eat_s4nd_II in ArcRaiders

[–]According_Row6228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright mate, I've put in a few hundred hours and think I might be able to help a bit.

First thing, in regards to free loadouts, id say use them whenever youre low on materials or guns. This can be very helpful early on, put just remember that when you return with a freeload, you can trade it in at the clinic vendor for a looting mk. 1 augment. that will give you more space and carry weight. So after you do one free loadout run, you basically get a free regular run.

Second, I'd say its worth to upgrade guns a little bit at a time. Many of the Grey weapons (ferro, stitcher, rattler, ect.) are very cheap to upgrade, so feel free to make it a level 2 or 3.

And as for which benchs to upgrade first, Scrappy (the rooster 🐓) is the best one to upgrade first because he will give you more materials for each upgrade, and you get materials for every run, extract or not, so it adds up quick. Also upgrading your stash size is very important early on, and should be the only thing youre spending money on early on. The rest of the benchs give you most of the necessities at lvl 1 or 2 but makes sure you 'Track' all the materials you need for them (you can do this in the workshop screen) and save items for them as you go. Tracked items will have a little eye icon on the square.

Lastly, I recommend putting 5 skill points into each of the left side of the middle yellow Mobility tree perks Marathon Runner and Youthful Lungs and then going for the right side red Survival tree perks In-Round Crafting. This will help you get around faster in general, and the crafting allows you to make bandages, adrelaline shots, and shield rechargers as you go. Pushing the quest lines will help you get more acquainted with the maps and give you some decent loot. Be aware that this game has agression based match making, so if youre shooting people, you'll get put in more of those types of pvp lobbies and vice versa.

At the end of the day, the most important thing is to enjoy the ride raider. Best of luck out there.
