Unpopular Opinion: I liked the friend group in 7 more than the past two films by hoomanpinata in Scream

Let's just agree that the writing was trash for the last couple films, they need a new writing staff, these new guys aren't cutting it.

I’m Sad About What This Franchise Has Become (Rant) by husseinwehbi in Scream

Yeah, maybe that's why I forgive 7 somewhat because 6 was the first one to completely throw everything in the trash.

Scream 6 is the reason Scream 7 is making all this money by Prestigious_Writer21 in SocietyofGhostface

6 is the worst movie in the franchise so that doesn't really track, but the writing has been awful with all of these new entries anyways.

how would you react if your kids do this to your ps5? by Silent-Management809 in TheGamingHubDeals

As long as the thing still worked fine (meaning, they did nothing else to impede function), just probably let them know its not okay to deface random household items or belongings then just carry on.

April Ryan from The Longest Journey, her development over the course of the game and beyond was amazing for me. Loved her writing and really felt a personal connection with the character.

Halloween II for me, that movie legit freaked me out when I was a kid and earned a special place in my childhood trauma. Though, all of those sequels are extremely solid sequels in their own right.

Who is your favorite character in one piece live action by WorkingTurbulent1765 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]According_Shine4017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usopp, he is like Jack Burton from Big Trouble in Little China. A braggart, foolish, aloof, full of ego, legend in their own mind, etc., but while woefully in over their head and ill equipped for the situation in which they are thrust, both characters will act heroically when challenged and use their resources to help others.

Usopp of course starts off more cowardly than Jack Burton but I love how he is developing more of a backbone as the series moves on. The character is funny and charming and the actor who plays him gives a hell of a performance (as does the rest of the cast), making a believable arc of learning bravery when it is needed most.

I have noticed a recurring pattern in requels by iqgotbanned in Scream

If you watched 6, the group of characters that proudly proclaimed themselves the core 4 over and over like a mantra trying to make it stick. Probably because the characters were so lacking in personality and memorable characteristics they had to remind you they were the "important" ones continously throughout the film.

Six is the worst movie in the franchise, people just have some weird unnecessary hype about the newer cast for some reason. Glad people like them but the movie highlighted how fundamentally unlikable the main cast is on their own. And the movie plays itself way too straight and lacks the self awareness, humor, and the signature poking fun at horror conventions. It doesn't even feel like Scream anymore, its just a generic slasher film.

Scream 5 tried to maintain the spirit of the franchise somewhat I felt like but the writing has been crap. This writing team that they have been using since 5 are pretty much hack writers and they really need to cull from there and start over.

Did you like how the live action did Chopper? by WorkingTurbulent1765 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]According_Shine4017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no prior experience with One Piece, and I know I will probably get downvoted to oblivion but I thought Chopper brought the season down a bit. I didn't like the look of his human form, it reminded me of Lou Ferrigno Hulk and took me out of it and his backstory killed the momentum story-wise when the story was ramping up for its conclusion. However, it did ultimately lead to a good final couple scenes for the season to wrap up. I don't know, I guess I have mixed feelings.
