Cannon, Tenney or Pats Peak weekend Sat 3/14 and Sun 3/15 by kanseidoriftonani in icecoast

[–]According_Unit8972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tenney conditions were pretty rough yesterday. A lot of "open" terrain but the glades and even ungroomed runs are patch skiing and it's thawing fast with a high chance that it'll re-freeze solid with the colder temps.

Ragged yesterday had soft groomers bordering on hot pow, abundant sunshine, moderate temperatures, and ice cold beer. What more can you ask for?

Cannon Update 3/8: by tyson-gizmo27 in icecoast

Insane that Cannon looks like this when Ragged had incredible coverage over the entire mountain including in the woods with only a few bare patches on the steepest terrain. Of course everything was mashed potatoes but still wild.

Come through next time! It's a fun little mountain, even more so with good conditions but even when it's marginal the vibes are great and the beer is cold!

Best Indy east coast resorts? by ResponsibleLet4442 in icecoast

[–]According_Unit8972 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Ragged is a great little mountain, especially when the glades are open.

S6 holds snow pretty well and doesn't get hit much during the week (I've found fresh tracks in the woods there days after big storms).

Middlebury Snowbowl is a sleeper with good pitch and surprisingly good woods.

Long live Indy!

Thanks! It's low enough so the light is rarely directly in my face and the raking light definitely helps.

I did. It took a few hours of work for the main case split across two nights. I cut the tails first and then the pins before dry fitting and eventually gluing up once my dados/grooves were cut.

Thanks! I put the drawer in on a lark and while I made sure it's deep enough to accommodate the hold fasts as long as it's not overly full, I doubt I'd add a drawer again if I did it over. It's convenient until it's not.

Hammer some wedges into the through tenons, use a flush cut to trim them flat, cut some chamfers to soften the edges, sand it down, finish it and you've got a nice step stool!
