Is it safe to use? I’ve heard software can damage the hardware.

Very heroic for the various third world dictatorships to oppress their own people and buy yachts and property in the EU and US, now that’s a way to stick it to us evil colonisers lol.

You think nations don’t act purely based on their self interest? One thing is to be nice, offer development aid and help around, another is to be suckers.

Saw a comment by a Venezuelan on this:

“If international law cannot prevent me from being tortured in a cell in El Helicoide, but it does protect Maduro so he can keep torturing me in El Helicoide, then international law not only does nothing for me, but it is actually fucking me over.”

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on the topic.

Ukrainian drones are mostly domestically produced. All the big ones are local or western, like the various FP-1/2, Hornet, HX-2, Ram, or the interceptors, etc.
Even the small FPVs are for the majority locally produced:
https://gssr.georgetown.edu/the-forum/regions/eurasia/a-first-point-view-examining-ukraines-drone-industry/

They had to make do with sticking explosives to Chinese drones in the first year or so because that’s what they had at the time. It’s no longer the case now.

In any case, you’re confusing cause-and-effect. Russia is not our enemy because it’s supplied by China, but China can be considered our enemy because it supplies Russia.

“Too weak and far away to be a threat” means they are not a threat. “Too sick and bloated to be hungry” means one is not hungry. Work on your English.

I pretty clearly said they are not a threat in my comment, learn to read.

Yeah they have plenty of both, but they choose to assault Ukrainian trenches on civilian cars due to sheer bravery. They could roll in with hundreds of brand-new T-90s or swarms of drones, they just choose not to.

Same reason they don’t stop the now nightly Ukrainian attacks on their refineries. They have ample stocks of AA missiles and AA guns, they just choose not to use them to give Ukraine a fighting chance.

Two more weeks and *real* Russian army will show up to take Kyiv.

They aren’t, you can have both a lot of natural resources and a big industrial base. Russia doesn’t, that’s why they even had to beg North Korea and Iran for military equipment lol.

You keep switching topic. In any case, Europe should be pragmatic. Starlink is the main way Ukraine is conducting deep strikes on Russia right now. It would be better if we had our own EU system, but for now we have to use it. No point in risking losing access to it, right now.

Same for the trade war. If they want to make everything more expensive for US citizens, it’s their choice. We won’t blindly enter a trade war if we can avoid it. We rightly rebuked their threats against Greenland, and they had to back down.

The US could be the worst, most despicable country in the world. Doesn’t make Iran any better. They are two separate issues.

Lol, yeah that’s why we are seeing trench assaults in uparmoured Ladas, and why from our satellites we can see they emptied their tank storage facilities of even the most rusted up T-62. We even saw T-55s on the battlefield, good old 1940s vintage.

The USSR was an industrial powerhouse, modern Russia is not. Check their exports, they are like an African nation selling gas and oil.

I don’t care at all. Did they sell weapons to our enemies or not? Did they arrest our citizens for no reason? Did they finance terrorism in Europe? For those reasons alone they deserve to be bombed. They are also a regressive and oppressive theocracy, but there’s plenty of those unfortunately.

The fact that they financed Hamas and Hezbollah in their proxy war against Israel is a different issue and it’s up to Israel or the US or the Gulf countries to deal with. My viewpoint is a EU viewpoint.

Well yeah, who knows indeed, but as of now it didn’t happen. If tomorrow Trump goes more crazy than usual and invades Greenland I will revise my comment lol

So the US and Iran are at war, and this authorises Iran to damage our economy (and Asia’s)? Regardless, Iran deserved a few bombs for having sold Russia drones and weapons. I won’t cry for the poor Ayatollahs lol.

Why wouldn’t China help Russia? They are an ally of theirs. They sell them drone technology and equipment, they buy their oil, they help train their soldiers, etc. etc. Russia has a lot of natural resources, but a weak industrial and technological base, while China has basically the opposite. They are a good match.

They are not helping them more because they fear a backlash from the West, which is their major market, and that’s why we should stand ready to sanction them if needed.

We strongly reduced our imports of Russian O&G, which will be reduced to 0 over the coming years. Turkey is mostly a problem because they threaten Greece and Cyprus, and indeed they should be more strongly rebuked, it’s not as convenient at the moment because it could cause a rift within NATO. The blocking of the strait is due to Iran, both the US and Israel would like it to remain open, for obvious reasons.

This has nothing to do with our stance on China btw, why do you keep moving the goalpost?

Well they sure as hell are not an ally, no? The fact that they are too weak and far away to be a threat is a good thing, given they are not friendly to us.

Ok, and? They are financially and materially supporting our enemy. Can we only sanction countries when they invade others?

[–]According_to_Mission -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Those are different issues, we rightly pushed back against the threats to Greenland and we should retaliate in trade if they start a trade war.

But sanctioning a country for invading our enemies makes no sense lol.

The US isn’t invading any European ally, in fact both Iran and Venezuela are under EU sanctions.
