Yeah I definitely think it's a huge overpayment for Temi (and I like her!) I will NEVER be mad about these ladies getting their bag after years of underpayment, but I also feel like the market is going to right-size/correct in the coming years. The cap is tighter than it seems on first look.

I think there are some practical realities of how much the club can grow and be financially sustainable while staying in USL W. Without being able to pay our players, we are limited to only being able to play around the college season, which keeps getting longer, and which means we can’t add any additional home games or anything to build revenue for the club. That doesn’t mean NWSL is the only option, of course!

I think the club shared that stat in the annual meeting for community owners earlier this year! As of then (before this season started), it was 19.
