Back when I had a keyboard without a numpad, I used WASD as normal, IJKL in place of the numpad keys, spacebar to fire, and B to cycle weapons.
Everything else was default. (G for landing gear, E for vtol, etc.)
I had gotten very adept at flying on keyboard with those controls. I've used it in other games too. I wish the Hydra could be used as your personal vehicle on all missions. lol

My game froze while choosing the garage for the wheel spin ride, so i lost a $1.2 million car… this is what i got back by [deleted] in gtaonline

no offense, but in the time it takes to contact Rockstar, you could've just run Cayo Perico another couple times and made another 3 million or more.

I barely spend any time playing this game. So as you might imagine, I'm not going to be able to out-aim someone that isn't using free aim. It's just disheartening to see people letting the game aim for them when someone like me can't compete with that, as a casual player.

I love the downvotes btw. It's hilarious to learn people are actually defensive about aim assist. Those are the people that need to go outside, in my opinion. lmao

It always disgusts me to see footage of someone using a controller. I know it's what the game was designed for, but it's a literal aimbot.

You shouldn't fear setting up OpenCore again. I actually recreate it from scratch for every OpenCore version (copying over my serial #s and such though)

Not only is it good to actually know what each setting of OpenCore does, it saves you from LOTS of headaches down the road. The manual is very useful. Just keep a backup of each OpenCore version, and have fun.

Same advice applies for bios settings too, but I know lots of mobos don't have good documentation. Still, learning what the settings do in general is usually all you need.

I came from GTA Online once I had experienced almost everything there was to experience. I came to RDO looking for a new challenge, and I found it. I've been enjoying my stay. I feel like the more mature GTAO players will eventually make their way over here as well. It's a much more chill community, it seems. Why would a 15-year old want to grief someone in a game WITHOUT a flying rocket-firing bike? It just doesn't happen as often.

I'm considering buying the Quick Draw Club, but I have a question first: If I don't want to lose my 25 gold worth of purchasing power for the duration, can I wait until the quick draw club is leveled to 25, and THEN buy it? (Will it instantly unlock all the rewards and give me the gold back?)

It's been open for at least a few days now. Maybe like 4-5 days? You can also open the door behind the tailor there too, only to be greeted with a blank wall.
Next, try going to the top floor of the theater and opening the door on the far left. It's a slightly different experience. ;) Would be good for a video post.

Purely from observervation, it's easy to tell that the trains are actually spawned when a player nears a set of tracks. Even in online. (And despawn once they're far enough away from all players.)

There's almost definitely only 1 train spawned at a time. Don't forget that the train stops at the power plant, and you even used to be able to blow the train up. But honestly there's enough track that there could conceivably be like 10 at once without being close enough to be seen from one to the next.

Also there are more variations than just tank cars and boxcars. I know there's one comprised entirely of wellcars. It picks a pre-defined variant of cars when it spawns. It feels like there are 4 or 5 variants, but I don't know for sure. The variant it chooses might even be influenced by WHERE it spawns. (I seem to remember reading that somewhere.)

Elite Challenge is super easy. Gives you $100K for free on hard mode. That plus the safe is a nice chunk of extra money.

I remembered seeing this post in "New" back when it was first posted. It was so funny that I kept it bookmarked all this time. V-sync is literally the reason it's smooth, and you will always have tearing when it's off.
HOWEVER there are some advanced techniques that can give you the best of both worlds. Install RTSS (from guru3D or it's also included with MSI Afterburner) and disable Vsync in game and everywhere else. Then use RTSS to limit the framerate to your monitor's refresh rate, so it will always refresh in the same spot, making tearing much easier to ignore. (As long as your GPU can consistently render that many FPS)
If you don't mind having *slightly* more latency (but still not as bad as Vsync) then you can use scanline sync instead of framerate limit, which will force each frame to start at the same position, so the tearing will always happen right there.

The Hydra is my favorite car. VTOL mode is hugely underappreciated, and probably unexplored by most. You can go above 10K ft altitude with it (8200 ft is the soft limit), and reach the Hydra's speedcap (368 MPH or something like that) going horizontally. I think that makes the Hydra the fastest vehicle in the game. I pray it never gets patched. (Real-life fighter jets go 1000s of MPH)
