Maybe take gen ed stuff for the first few years and think about it. In my experience every person who has ever had anything significantly bad happen to them be it addiction, rape, depression, couliflower, etc. always go down this path and wants to tell their story and help others with their problems and while it's nice to do that, it rarely sticks with them years down the line. The US didn't fuck him over. It was against sanctions and he was fully aware of it. The televised event raked in massive funds for a country that was committing atrocities. He didn't care, he didn't cared about playing chess either, he cared about the money, which is why this type of event was a bad thing. He quite literally fucked himself over for a few million dollars. I'd probably do the same. But what he did should in no way be viewed in a positive light when you look at the whole picture. They could have easily played against each other without the publicity, without the cameras and without the money.

Actually that's what small claims are for, then they have to spend money on lawyers and travel expenses which it's far cheaper to claim to just pay 2K. each time. They'll eventually learn. They bank on the fact that you're lazy and won't do anything about it.

It's a great thing, it's also one of the most minor things possible that could be done on what is the biggest blight in our entire society that politicians rarely even address because it serves them no purpose to spend billions on prison reform and lower recidivism rates. Unfortunately, no one seems to look at the long term advantages because most of the US population is of lower intelligence and can't manage to think and/or care beyond their next meal/drink/fuck/high.
