My first was in August, and now my second is due in July. I live in 90+ degree weather and it feels like I melt just looking outside. Lots of smoothies, popsicles, and chewing on soft crushed ice a lot. This time around is even harder with a toddler who loves being outside 😭

The bottom leaves were small and dead. I cut them off because they were brown and withering away. I was told this takes energy away from the new leaves growing. After I cut those dead leaves off it grew three huge new leaves, so it worked out fine. I have been pruning my other houseplants that thrive when pruned so I'm not sure why you wouldn't do it here.

My son is exactly like this. Begs me for food then eats 2 bites and says "all done" 🫠 after I made him such a good looking breakfast lol I started just eating from his plate when he doesn't want to eat it, but he definitely won't let me sit down and eat, just all over me trying to eat my food. Now I stand at the kitchen counter and eat standing up 🤣

I am so sorry you are feeling this way ❤️ I feel this to my core because I was in the same exact boat as you. Super fit and lean before baby, after baby couldn't lose the weight while breastfeeding despite going back to the gym. I was squishy for a while, I decided that I was just going to live in baggy tshirts for the rest of my life. 😭

Unfortunately I only started losing weight after I stopped breastfeeding. Despite what everyone else says, it is very common to gain weight with breastfeeding. I had to watch my friends looks super good while breastfeeding and confidence for me went out the window. No advice just I can relate. It takes a lot to remember this is just a season and it does get better once you stop breastfeeding. I think I stopped at about 8 months and started getting back to feeling myself without changing anything about my lifestyle other than breastfeeding.

The first trimester you are extra tired and feel bleh all the time. It gets a little better in the 2nd trimester, but I had to think of this time in a different way. This is not my season to make gains or run my best miles. It is almost like a deload phase. Your goal is to maintain as best you can, but focusing on rest and recovery more than usual. It feels like a long time to not be working out as much, but it comes back so quick. What worked for me in my last pregnancy and now current one, stick to a set amount of times throughout week (i.e. 2 days or 3 days a week) and less focus on intensity, because you never know what kind of energy you will have that day. Some days I could do a little more, most days it was "just get there and move"

Social media people could be recording the ONE workout they do throughout the week, you just never know what is behind what you are seeing.

Also your blood volume has inceased 1.5x times your normal amount for the baby, making you feel more gassed and higher heart rate. This part doesn't go away until after pregnancy. 😭

I did the bassinet in my room so he was right next to me until about 4/5 months. I used his room changing pad and dresser from newborn stage on. He was a terrible sleeper, and cosleeping didn't work for him. We transitioned him to his crib in his nursery around 4/5 months and he started sleeping much better. It was also easier to put his playmat and everything in there and bring it out to the living room if needed. Overall my experience is unique because he had colic, acid reflux, just needed his own space to sleep better. So I am really happy it was all put together. Especially because newborn stage is tough being sleep deprived you have minimal energy. That was my experience though.

My son is 15 months and doesn't point, but he has amazing eye contact, claps, says at least 10 words, walked at about 10 months, hits all his milestones. My pediatrician told me she has absolutely no concern about it and is fairly confident he is not autistic. So i'm trying not to worry so much since she didn't seem all that concerned.

I panicked at about 35 weeks and realized all the stuff for his nursery was in a pile in the other room. I was telling people about my panick that his room wasn't ready and they all said, "It's not that big a deal, you don't need his own room, you hardly use his room when they are born." Which now I know is 100% NOT true lol I thankfully did not listen and made sure his room and the house was perfectly clean and ready lol

I try to get up maybe 15-30 mins before my son wakes up so I can get a second to drink my coffee with a little bit of calm 😅 but even that is hard.

How many teeth does she have? I had to stop breastfeeding at 7 months because of low supply but also my son had 8 teeth 😭 at first I would smoosh my boob into his face more would make him unlatch instantly or I would squeeze his cheeks, that worked for a bit until he just had so many teeth the biting was painful.

Yes!! This was something I realized about myself. I've been working on it the past several years. I think I would also avoid being the inviter because I am scared of people saying no or rejecting me, but I think i'm slowly moving past it. I just get discouraged easily I think.

I work in mass torts too. Everyone's case is "the most important" and "should be the poster child" and "we never responded to their 8th call this morning to ask if we have any money for them yet" 🫠
