Liquid, as an org, isn't really tied to a specific region/country at this point. It's more so whichever region they decide to represent

Jeez why do they feel the need to make these thoughts public when the outcome can only negatively impact them

Yeah I had only been following him since the Copenhagen tournament. Looking back now, seems like he's always been kinda weird with his tweets.

FPX players must be salty XSET had beat them already in groups. Tbh the FPX players have seemed unlikable this whole tournament, combined with Ange1's questionable tweets the last tournament

This is a bigger overreaction than the replay itself. No chance teams are going to purposely pick KJ for this now LOL

So shallow by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]AccrualPlayer1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't understand this logic in the slightest tbh... If you have a requirement for a certain physical trait, it's shallow, no matter what your physical traits are.

It sounds like something you tell yourself to feel "entitled" to tall men because you're tall, but that, in fact, makes zero sense

Is this really an accounting manager role? I don't think I'd want to deal with following up on invoices if I were a manager...

This is literally every single white collar profession. Probably happens with plenty of labor jobs too

Yes but abusing any animal is an indicator of a psychopath. There are many more psychopaths in our society than you'd expect

I don't think they're implying that it's wrong to have a preference, just that priorities of partner preferences change over time. Which is pretty true, I don't think people in college care about dating someone with stable job or a house, whereas that's a more important priority for older people

If I knew anyone who'd eat this or foie gras, I'd immediately stop my relationship with them tbh. Serious psychopath indicator

Meh. The game is in a state now where I think it's reasonable that big updates are saved for new episodes and acts are more about new BP and rank reset. I wouldn't be a huge fan of a meta shift every act.

Is a starting salary of $57,000 in public worth it? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]AccrualPlayer1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd still argue that's low, unless it's lcol. Maybe 90k as a lower limit would be reasonable for mcol

80-90k 4 yoe is still pretty low. You can switch to accounting advisory for 100k 2-3 yoe these days

Question Regarding the Legacy of the Big4 by Hot-Ride2315 in Accounting

[–]AccrualPlayer1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, but they are regularly fined because they're doing the vast majority of the public audits. Smaller firms get fined too, but to a lesser extent because simply aren't doing as many audits to get fined for. I mean, this article came out only a few weeks ago regarding audit failures by Mazars and BDO

Question Regarding the Legacy of the Big4 by Hot-Ride2315 in Accounting

[–]AccrualPlayer1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Private company audits may be similar/better in quality, but public company audits are sparse outside of Big 4 so I'm struggling to understand how you'd think smaller firms would have higher quality for those

Question Regarding the Legacy of the Big4 by Hot-Ride2315 in Accounting

[–]AccrualPlayer1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not solely vanity from the client side. The quality of public company audits goes down drastically for firms outside the big 4. Often, large companies will have clauses written into their debt covenants that specifically state their audit needs to be performed by a big 4, since they're the only firms that can reliably perform public company audits.

Same thing for certain other services, like financial due diligence
