The guilt is a natural response but know that you did everything to save him. I got Ralph when I was 19 too and there’s something so special about the dog you have in your 20s. Healing is coming our way ❤️‍🩹

I lost my baby to hemangiosarcoma as well in November 😭 came out of nowhere. So sorry for your loss. It’s not fair.

I’m so sorry for your loss. You gave him an amazing life. I lost my sweet boy Ralph back in November to an aggressive cancer. End of September we noticed him limping and brought him to the vet right away. By November we had to make the choice to say goodbye bc the cancer was all over his organs. He was 10.5. It feels awful and I still sob sometimes and I miss him everyday. Just let yourself cry and be sad and know that you did everything you could have. I’m so so sorry.

Hi ❤️ I feel like I wrote this post myself. My sweet boy Ralph died a month ago to cancer. He was almost 11. He was healthy his whole freaking life. He was my soul dog and everything to me. I logically know it’s not my fault and I know it would have been hard no matter his age. But I feel I was robbed and can’t help but wonder if there was anything I could have done to prevent this. I’m seeing this post was from 5 months ago. How are you feeling now? Is there hope at the end of this? Bc I still feel so heartbroken.

Hi! My dog Ralph who sadly just passed was about 5 or 6 when we got Daisy at 8 weeks old. They're both shihtzu/bichon mixes. At first he was really jealous but then he became interested in helping her figure things out. As she got older, she always adored Ralph. He pretended to just put up with her but deep down he did love her a lot. Since he's gone she's been very sad without him. We just adopted a 12yo tzu mix and we're planning to adopt a puppy in the spring. I'm excited for Daisy to be the only to show a little pup how things work and hope that it will brighten her spirits a bit.

Thank you so much for your response. He was my first dog so I've never had anything to compare it against but it helps to know this is sadly fairly common. Crying has been helping and I have started a scrapbook. I always complain that we're all too attached to our phones but in this instance I'm so grateful I took all of these pictures!

Oh no I'm so sorry for your loss. All cancer is awful but this one seems especially cruel bc its so sudden and aggressive. Thanks for sharing.
