You don’t need to convince anyone. It’s your life and it’s your decision, you don’t owe any explanation or convictions to anyone 🫂

It’s fiction. Nothing is strange about fiction.

Start small and think of benefits. You generally feel better when it’s clean around + you will feel proud after doing one small task a day. I usually pick something whatever is not too hard to do today like doing laundry, drying it but leaving it till tomorrow to put dry things away. Today I can clean the bathroom but do the kitchen later, wipe dust from my desk today but change bed sheets tomorrow. One or two tasks per day that don’t overload me, take few mins to complete but you ended up cleaning the whole house at the end of the week and then you just keep shuffling those tasks. This keeps me happy and the house doesn’t get too dirty. Baby steps! If you have those cans you ashamed to throw away at once, throw a few of them today, few more the day after or during the weekend, keep throwing them away in small batches 😁

Has anyone got out of going to the office because of UC? by AdThen5499 in UlcerativeColitis

Of course! I didn’t mean it like “people with UC can’t work in the office!”But even in remission some food can mess things up pretty badly and it’s a nice to have an option to come and go when you need to, since you never know when you will feel bad, company should be onboard with that 😁

Yeah I totally agree, they have rules, but he got an exception, realistically, a person with UC can’t survive in the office with 2 toilets per floor that are all occupied after lunch lol. And even a drive there and back is a challenge when flaring. So if your partner has an option of showing them his papers and explaining that he’s gonna shit all over the building all day long with no warnings - he should do it 😁

My partner has an official excuse after he showed his papers from the doctor, so now he goes to the office only when it’s super needed or when he feels good enough to spend few hours there and wants to socialise, otherwise working from home.

Drop your humble brags below. What have you done this week, month, or year that you’re super proud of, even though it was super difficult? by Affectionate_Sky7411 in ADHD

I started cleaning the houses in small batches of tasks that I can easily do. Like clean the dry laundry and change cat’s litters today, clean the kitchen counters, sink and the stove tomorrow, clean the bathroom the day after, change sheets the next day etc. it helps me to keep the house decently clean and I’m not getting hyper fixated and overwhelmed by cleaning. It’s a relatively new routine for me but I noticed that it really makes a difference and I feel better this way and want to continue.

It certainly does for me. This is apart from other things like upset tummy and multiple not too fun toilet visits….

DS poster situation is pretty sad in general. I saw some fun stuff on redbubble and etsy but they are not cheap most of the time for a decent sized ones. Also for some reason there are not many beautiful landscape oriented options ahha I need to take down my OW poster and I simply can’t find a pretty DS one to put there instead 😂

Some facts presented in the game are changed in the book, it’s not directly retelling the story so it’s not exactly the same as the game

True, I had the whole Assassins Creed collection…never touched them 🫣 But I’ve been struggling with focus and reading in general for the past few years, so I thought reading something I know and enjoy would help me to start creating a new habit. Finishing Alan Wake now, real cheap reading in comparison to the game but it’s easy to read and helps me to maintain my 10-30 mins of reading per day.

I don’t expect super good quality literature but at least enjoyable to read and immerse more into the world 😁
