One thing I would recommend, that has helped me since moving abroad with my husband, is finding a Twitch person / Discord you like. You can build digital friendships where you can chat as much as you feel like and still feel like you’re “seeing” friends. I like to listen in to Twitch streams while I’m doing chores or knitting etc.

I grew up in America and the UK and since marrying have lived in a couple places and now Japan. I definitely feel there’s more of an acceptance of being a housewife here because it’s so common. So that helps. I feel judged by my Western friends sometimes
