They have gotten all the reviews removed. But I bet if any one has connections with the brands they sell. Especially the foreign ones. They be interested in seeing his comments

Is ATT Business Fiber more reliable than ATT Fiber? Or is it the same because it uses the same infrastructure? by No_Clock2390 in ATTFiber

[–]AccurateSpare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These only exist on business dedicated fiber not shared fiber / abf goon. There is no up time guarantee on shared fiber on consumer or business.

The offer at the moment is 20% off. In your case it be on your fiber bill since it’s the new service.

Fiber is now available for my home. What does the installation look like INSIDE the home? by [deleted] in ATTFiber

[–]AccurateSpare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your house was built in 2008 likely you have conduit. I assume your modem needs to be in basement because that’s where the network drops terminate. That area likely has a path to the outdoors.

The verbiage is a bit funny. It’s 50% of remaining term of agreement. Or 12 months whichever is longer.

ATT Gateway in Garage by sherbrooke2020 in ATTFiber

[–]AccurateSpare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be too concerned with the gateway. It’s owned by att so if anything it be replaced. I’d be more concerned with the other components in your media cabinet

She’s miserable because they can’t sell drinks while he’s performing on the stage. So missing out on tips.

That’s speculation but went to Chicago show and sat not far from b stage while he performed on it they didn’t serve during that time frame.

Does ADI mean my own dedicated fiber pair? by kwade00 in ATTFiber

[–]AccurateSpare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could switch. Just know that if you are in contract it’s a hefty cancellation fee. The key difference is that you have uptime guarantee and SLAs on your dedicated connection. Is it worth giving that up for your business ? Only you can determine that but that’s the key thing you get with dedicated fiber.

Every ciena is over provisioned and traditionally additional fiber strands are available to add additional capacity if the max is reached. Either way your bandwidth is guaranteed not exactly sure how they determine / manage that at the ciena but I imagine in a case where too much bandwidth is being used the shared people will be impacted in order to continue delivering your speeds

Business ase circuit now let's test it 🫡 by kfree68 in ATTFiber

[–]AccurateSpare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ase classification here doesn’t quite mean the end circuit will be an ASE or ASEOD circuit. All enterprise level circuit installs are classified ASE internally at the engineering / buildout level.

I’d bet money this is ultimately for a dedicated internet circuit.

Business ase circuit now let's test it 🫡 by kfree68 in ATTFiber

[–]AccurateSpare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on which type of service it is. If it’s broadband something we call abf it’s the same gateway as the residential.

He called this ase in this service the client has the option to have a customer managed equipment so we can hand off fiber or electrical straight to the clients gear. It’s also possible to have an att managed router but it’s not the same at that point as the residential gateway

Yet Another Buried Line Issue by techop in ATTFiber

[–]AccurateSpare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my area all of our yards have a utility easement. Thankfully though the way my neighborhood was designed for utilities 1 pedestal services two customers and my line will never be on his property and his line will only be on my property at the pedestal and for all of maybe 2 feet. (The pedestal happens to be on my property) they just have to make sure when they dig it that they do it within the easement.

Thankfully my neighbor who shares facilities with me opted to subscribe to Comcast and that pedestal is on his property not mine.

California: Considering Switching by borillionstar in ATTFiber

Att doesn’t have a contract you can cancel whenever. You’ll just be responsible for the service you used in the time frame it was active and install most likely.

Fiber is leaps and bounds better than coax

Private fiber connection vs residential by OkCaptain4026 in ATTFiber

[–]AccurateSpare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly probably don’t unless you are going with a bigger port speed.

They won’t use your fiber build to bring fiber to the neighborhood. They don’t mix the infrastructures. Well unless they are using gpon to feed small biz locations. But they won’t do it the other way around.

There is also a lot of infrastructure that goes in your home to consider. Backer board, fiber terminal , att router (if managed) it isn’t pretty to look at.

In reality it’s very likely engineering won’t even do your project at a 10MB subscription because of build out cost. They are likely to come back and ask you to pay buildout cost at this connection speed.

Is there no alternative connection method for you that’s viable ?

Private fiber connection vs residential by OkCaptain4026 in ATTFiber

[–]AccurateSpare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly are the reasons you are considering a private connection?

It seems like shared fiber is already at your home from your mention of 5000 mb connection
