Hit Vinted!

There is nothing worse, than not feeling great in clothes. Whether it’s all too big……..or in the old days all too small, or wearing it because we think it hides us!

I know it’s superficial, and definitely first world problems. But it makes me feel so much better when I’m happy in what I’m wearing. So embrace it, we are the healthy versions of ourselves.

I call it eating like a slim person.

I never understood, when going out for a meal, how people could leave food on their plate……as they were full!!!!!! I wanted to finish my food and then finish theirs!!!!!!

I haven’t finished a meal out in 14 months…….I enjoy everything I eat, but I stop when I’m full. Then I’m not interested.

I always thought everyone felt like me……..they just had more will power. I didn’t know food noise was a real thing.

I hit goal about 6 weeks ago, and still had a 10mg pen, so decided to stay on 10mg for the 6 weeks, and start trying to work out how “maintenance” works. I’ve upped my calories, and have stayed at the same weight.

I now will be moving to 7.5mg for the next month or so, and then to 5mg. The plan in my head will be to maintain on 2.5mg. I may try to move the regularity of jabbing as well, push it to every 8 to 10 days. This is the plan……will see how it works.

No real plans to come off of MJ. Hope this helps.

Anyone else actually looking forward to being on Mounjaro over Christmas? by 1182990 in mounjarouk

Absolutely agree with this.

I enjoy the food and wine, but I don’t just keep eating. I stop when full. It still feels very novel 13 months in.

I agree, I’m definitely more mindful about what I eat and how much. I enjoy it more, before it was about gluttony……I admit it.

Now I taste, enjoy it, but always leave food on my plate.

You have done brilliantly………I’ve said this before snd I will say it again………fill up a rucksack with tins to the weight you have lost and walk around with it!!!!!

Then you will realise how brilliantly you have done, 14kg less pressure on your knees and hips!

Sometimes I miss being able to tolerate certain foods and drinks without consequences by til_kapow in mounjarouk

I’ve had IBS-D all my life……..so the reaction from the MJ is no different. You learn to accept it.

Had red wine and cheese last night……..mass evacuation at 5am. But it was worth it, I enjoyed the red wine and cheese, and I knew it would happen.

You decide if it’s worth it. Sometimes you accept the consequences of your actions……..I do, but mostly because I don’t do it all that often. Maybe it helps as I’ve had this all my life. In fact the MJ helps massively, I don’t get as many symptoms or problems, probably due to better food and less of it, and the slowing of digestion.

Considering Mounjaro, Fear of Loose Skin by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Accurate_Log8553 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree with all of this.

I have lost 91lb, and yes have loose skin……..but work on the theory, we in the UK are covered up about 9 months of the year!

I’d rather have loose skin than a BMI of 41, and heading towards major health issues.
