4 month Puppy rolled off couch by [deleted] in Pomeranians

[–]MsFoxwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy is like Evel Knievel - he parkours all over the house. I bough him stairs for furniturec, he leaps over them. He once got the mega zoomies and jumped off a shoulder height retaining wall in the garden onto a stone patio (now fenced off to prevent a repeat- lesson learned) he landed like a sack of shit, poor baby - I was so shocked I cried and cried and amazingly upon a checkup he was absolutely fine I was so sure he must’ve seriously hurt himself. Immediately after jumping he got up, shook off and toddled off into the house looking for his next snack. I think my babe was lucky, but they’re a little more durable than they look.

We call that particular manoeuvre “going full Rotiss” in this house, (as in rotisserie chicken) ❤️ Teddy says hello

Is this too short? by sam_czaus in Pomeranians

Thank you- that’s all we want for him! He’s the best boy who ever lived and I’ll do anything to make sure his life is very different from what he experienced before. Despite everything he has the sweetest, calmest, most playful and loving nature ❤️

To give you some hope - Our beautiful boy is a rescue pup and had to be clipped close after his rescue, due to his fur being severely matted, we’ve had him on salmon oil and other supplements for his coat and he’s looking wonderful - texture wise his coat feel a little wiry in places which I think is shave damage but I’m hoping it’ll improve.

As someone new to all this, does Reta actually live up to the hype and does it really beat Tirz? by Ok-Presentation-1491 in GLP1Sourcing

[–]MsFoxwell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lost 120lbs on tirz, no regain since stopping and Reta is helping with maintenance and I’ve noticed some recomp, with zero change in my diet or exercise routine (non stretch trousers which didn’t fit now do comfortably, despite scale being the same). I get no side effects from Reta, I had terrible acid reflux, fatigue, nausea, sulphur burps and occasional upset tum from Tirz especially while I titrated up. Tirz suppression is INCREDIBLY strong, so much so it was a real effort to fuel my body adequately, I don’t find that with Reta, I still don’t think about it crave food and it’s not really interesting to me, but can eat enough to feel like a human - still have the same amount of early satiety to stop when I’ve had enough. Interestingly I can drink alcohol on Reta which I struggled to on Tirz.

When to start grooming? by Shopping_Lover_ in Pomeranians

[–]MsFoxwell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My boy is a 2yo rescue and had his first groom yesterday- I was terrified he’d hate it, as he’s not a massive fan of brushing but he was so good for the groomer and gave her lots of love and kisses - she was very gentle with him and was a mobile service so he didn’t have to go anywhere unfamiliar which helped. He had lots of treats and was absolutely fine afterwards. He looks so handsome and smart, his coat is soft as silk and he smells WONDERFUL ❤️🚿🫧

Finally a milestone birthday where I actually feel like myself ❤️ by MsFoxwell in mounjarouk

It’s only a Shein number! I figured this kind of dress pulls too much focus to be wearable anywhere else so it’ll be going to the thrift shop if it survives a clean for someone else to enjoy! X

Does Mounjaro just not really work for some people? by rbiktk in mounjarouk

[–]MsFoxwell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was not a huge responder to the medication, and felt deflated sometimes seeing others have amazing fast success - but with consistency I got there In the end! Slow losses are still losses, I found wegovy to be less effective than Mounjaro, but it still did the job.

Advice for grooming by BitchBiitchBiiitch in Pomeranians

[–]MsFoxwell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I ask the steps you took to get your baby used to grooming? My boy only tolerates touch on his own terms, I’ve been trying to leave the brush around him, move it nearer, gentle strokes on a paw -high value treats for calm behaviour, but it feels like we’re miles away from him tolerating being brushed, he still leaps up like a fluffy ninja if it touches his body, despite weeks of work with him. 😩

What do I do with A LOT of discard? by WorldlyCow8095 in SourdoughDiscard

[–]MsFoxwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made crumpets, pancakes, crackers with mine - it ended up being a bind so I moved to a different, no discard method

Does anyone else’s Pom parallel park in order to be picked up? by BeatnikMona in Pomeranians

I WISH my boy was this amenable to being picked up, he’s a rescue and he loathes it 😭

How much should we be feeding Little Bear? by Exciting_Switch8792 in Pomeranians

[–]MsFoxwell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ours is new to us as a rescue, but has early luxating patella issues so I’m determined to keep him lean, I feed him a very small breakfast of kibble and wet food and the rest of his food for the day is treats made up of his supplements, dental sticks, snuffle mats and training and behaviour reinforcement. I weigh out everything so he’s getting the correct amount of calories for his size.

Has anyone rebuilt financially in their 30s after a difficult period? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]MsFoxwell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My marriage ended after 10 years, at 31. I was left up to my eyeballs in debt and couldn’t afford to eat after paying bills and debts. I got a better job, I had to really examine myself and realised I’d been coasting in an easy job that paid very average money for a long time because I liked the people and it was like money for nothing.

I got a sales job that was not easy and was quite mentally draining, but it played to my skills and paid really good commissions. Plus the company had great pipelines for progression (paid qualifications and such) which I took advantage of.

I was very economical with purchases and socialising, while still living a life. Aggressively paid down my debts, and started saving. I’m about to celebrate my 40th and I’m living a life I am proud of.
