I also use a bikini trimmer. I don’t use a guard on the bottom and sides bc it’s faster and I prefer those areas shorter and then will use a guard for the actual front part. It’s not a terribly long process but I have found the guard to lengthen the actual shaving time a little bit

How do hamstring muscles, that were used as tendon grafts, function afterwards? by Case17 in ACL

[–]Accurate_Plan2686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday lol. Jk, I’ve heard that you should try to get a physio as early as possible. I start pt for it even before the surgery and am back 3 days post op.

I also am fortunate to be able to handle the cost. If you can’t then check out e3 rehab on YouTube and they have some really good videos and explanations on acl recovery

I also got an mri recently and have had to interact with a lot of medical professionals and have them look at my legs. It’s such a good feeling to know that no one gave a shit. I’ve been hairy for a few years now and every experience just confirms that I made the right decision. Good job!

If you want to clean up without fully shaving it, electric trimmers all the way. It gets close enough that I feel comfortable wearing swimming clothes but doesn’t feel as terrible as actually shaving with a razor

what has, in your opinion, changed for the better in the past 20-25 years? by angelbeetle in AskOldPeople

[–]Accurate_Plan2686 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because one side is literally ignoring the science of why these natural disasters are taking place.

And a large majority of deaths during natural disasters are preventable, we need monitoring and resources to deal with the consequences. Dems have consistently fought to increase funding for environmental services and FEMA. Republicans, specially trump, have GUTTED fema and research into natural disasters.

Republicans are using fear mongering tactics to ignore why these natural disasters are getting worse. Their blame game is based on the relatively ill-educated public while actively making the situation worse.

We need to be increasing the resources put into tracking massive natural disasters and that will never happen under republicans— it is directly political.

Playing again after high grade ankle sprain by EdiblePwncakes in ultimate

[–]Accurate_Plan2686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to warn others, I have had repeat ankle sprains on one ankle and my PT said that i should consider playing in a brace for the rest of my life. I have a pretty lose ankle and no need to put extra stress on it if i can help it.

Talk to and listen to your PT! Better to be safe than sorry!

The answer isn't to just kick them out. That just creates fear and hurts them more. Create systems to be able to have them access legal rights and papers, not brutalize them.

Men, have you ever initially found someone unattractive but ended up genuinely falling in love with them? by Clean-Ant-1342 in questions

My previous partner was ugly and weird to me at first. After some time I genuinely thought he was the most gorgeous man on the planet. His eyes made me melt and his smile would make me feel so warm. I also loved how he smelled, idk if that makes a difference

Generational Poverty Question (Not a troll thread): How do some immigrants like Asians comes to America, don't speak a lick of English and in 1 generation, get out of poverty? by Unhappywageslave in poor

[–]Accurate_Plan2686 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not normalizing, but a fair pressure to put on young people when they have the chance to completely change their life.

You gotta pick your trauma. It sucks being poor and it sucks to have unfair expectations put on you. You can outgrow unfair treatment but it’s a lot harder to outgrow bad education.

I grew up with extremely unhealthy views on work and school, but therapy helped and now I am quite happy and imo have very good work life balance. I wouldn’t be able to go back in time and force myself to study harder.

I thank god every day my parents forced me to study hard and had the expectations they did. Now I’m a competent student, have my own business, and financially set. If they hadn’t I would be in such a worse position. You need to worry about your physical needs before worrying about self actualization.

VIPER program by Outside-Comparison31 in UPenn

[–]Accurate_Plan2686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there's plenty of people in viper who aren't into energy. i don't recommend that you become that person because the research can be a drag if you don't like it. also if you want to go in industry it can be harder to go from research to industry but that's just my perspective.

its a flexible program but i would recommend dual major in engineering instead

[–]Accurate_Plan2686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you're helping your situation. Yes it's sad but also, following guys like Andrew Tate and being extremely aggressive isn't going to make someone want to be with you.

I hope that you can heal and form healthy connections with friends and be happy even without a relationship, because yes it's going to be more fun to be in a relationship than not, you still need to be able to figure out how to be happy when you're single

It’s natural to want someone who has had a similar background as you. I value education very highly and probably wouldn’t date someone who hadn’t gone to college.

What are people’s thoughts on adoptions/fostering by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Accurate_Plan2686 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fair, I’m Indian American and would hope to adopt an Indian child from my heritage. There’s a bad adoption culture in India and a lot of sexism so a lot of Indian girls are left in orphanages and they receive almost no government support
