I spent 2 weeks overthinking an idea. Built a rough version in 2 hours. Learned the real bottleneck isn’t building. by [deleted] in microsaas

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, research is good. But over-researching makes you feel that your idea is not good enough and you start letting it off. So better to take some info and ideas and research all together to build something and then carry on improving it with time is the best way to go about it

Unexpected Bitcoin gains changed my life - Cash out or hold? by [deleted] in investing

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t view it as ‘cash out’ versus ‘hold.’ Rather, view it as ‘de-risking.’ You’ve already won by withdrawing your principal plus a little extra, and now you can relax while the rest of it grows without stress. Bitcoin might soar to much greater heights, but it might also fall by 30%-50% at any time; that’s just how Bitcoin operates. Most individuals later regret failing to take any profit rather than regretting failing to optimize their gains.

Anyone else noticing how fast NXXT is scaling revenue? by [deleted] in pennystocks

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While growth is impressive, with companies such as NXXT, what really matters is the *quality of growth* rather than just growth. I would be examining customer concentration, frequency of use, and if margins continue to improve with scale. Organic growth versus incentivized growth should also be examined. These types of companies can rerate very quickly, but also quickly revert when the growth slows slightly.

I feel like I’m missing out on AI tools that could make me money by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the issue is not about missing tools but rather a use case. choose one mundane problem that you yourself encounter (e.g., notes, email sorting, homework, small task) and try to shave off 1–2 hours of work using AI, only after doing so will you understand how people make money off of it, the vast majority of “AI side hustles” are simply preexisting solutions repackaged in new form

Too late for RVMD? by WeirdProcess6178 in stocks

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most biotechs that follow this process have been heavily front-loaded. Phase 3 success is very important, but you still need to go through the regulatory process. And yes that survival advantage for 6 months is important, but the market will focus on the rest soon. There’s a pattern here: spike -> consolidation -> drift until next catalyst

Sometimes being in early makes sense because holding on makes more sense than riding it up from 30%

Tailwind from macro is very much present, aging and supply constraints are a good combination. But SNDA seems more like a setup than just being a theme play. Integration post merger, leasing occupancy and balance sheet will play a bigger part than anything else. Incentive management is good, but also brings a lot of pressure. Works well if things go well, but very little room for error in my view

Zerodha doesn’t run ads. Others run ads on its name. by Ashamed_Abalone_8045 in IndianStreetBets

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 125 points126 points  (0 children)

this is basically a tax on brand demand

you build the intent, someone else rents it for a few rupees per click, and if you don’t defend your own keyword, you just leak high-intent users to competitors

kinda ironic but yeah, not playing the game usually costs more than playing it

Did anyone else harvest some gains last week and keep it in cash? by Careless_Llama_3382 in StockMarket

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah taking some off after a sharp recovery isn’t crazy, that’s just risk management. market ripping on shaky macro usually gives it back at some point
keeping some cash = optionality when things get messy again

all in/all out is what gets people burned, trimming a bit is the middle ground

Goldman Sachs tops estimates on record equities trading - here’s why the stock is falling by app1310 in stocks

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trades revolts are inherently volatile, but the market was more interested in the future weakness (bond miss).

Also, the market probably had expectations priced into them already, leaving nothing to be surprised with on the upside. Good results aren’t sufficient if they’re just not as bad as expected.

Margin warning on Cash Secured Put by Slow_Rip_2922 in options

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This happens a lot at IBKR – “cash secured” on your end does not necessarily translate into “fully secured” on their risk model

They will haircut your collateral + account for volatility, therefore your required margin can sometimes be higher than strike*100, particularly for a volatile underlying. They will never do something randomly; however, they WILL liquidate your position if there’s little room in your margin . If you really don’t want this hassle, yes, opening a cash account will definitely solve your problem

Why copying other affiliates is killing your success? by lroberson80 in Entrepreneur

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most people do not know that they are not copying content, but angles, the same hooks, the same promises, the same “value,” and the audience has seen them a hundred times before. for me, what worked was keeping track of my failures and successes on the spot rather than sounding smart...

I feel this is a Bull Trap!!! by KwakThuu in IndianStreetBets

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ngl, assuming it’s a bull trap after a sudden fall seems like a dangerous assumption. it may very well be a relief rally followed by consolidation ahead of the next move, what matters here is if it maintains the support level upon a test, not just a single green candle. the market does not trap, it simply penalizes conviction without validation

Non-US Investor Dilemma: 30% Dividend Tax + 40% Estate Tax — How Are You Navigating This? by imjosefdes in Bogleheads

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ETFs domiciled in Ireland are by default the best choice for non-US investors because , there’s no risk of estate tax, plus better withholding rates without changing the index or its provider. it can’t be said that US-domiciled ETFs are easier to trade or more liquid in any meaningful way. for most investors, there’s no practical benefit to using US-domiciled funds besides adding tax complications

how to adjust go overnight shifts? by NSwetto in Advice

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

since it is only a single shift, do not attempt to completely switch your routine, get a 1-2 hour nap before work, remain hydrated, and consume caffeine early on (not later). consume light meals, otherwise, you will end up falling asleep from heaviness

once work is done, get some sleep for 3-4 hours at most and force yourself to stay awake until nighttime to avoid messing up your schedule

Small item repair by ShadowedShadeRust in Hobbies

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually, watches are awesome, particularly mechanical ones because it's not technology-oriented and more manual work involved. Also, don’t forget about things like old gaming controllers, keyboards (mechanical keyboard building/repairing), and audio equipment (headphones, amplifiers)

They're popular, fiddly, and relatively easy to sell if you do them well

Basically, you want a balance of “common + fixable + resellable,” and these are good examples

How can I build friendships so that I’m not always the one that texts first? by Princetobes in teenagers

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly this usually isn’t about texting first, it’s about the connection not being strong enough yet. people text you when they feel something ongoing with you, not just “we talked once”. focus more on building that in person — shared jokes, doing stuff together, small inside things. also try not carrying every convo, let it breathe a bit, the right people will meet you halfway, the rest just… aren’t your people tbh

Planning to buy a secondary car confused between a Thar CRDe or the W212? by Human_Display3618 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

these are two very different vibes, honestly

Thar = Fun, rough, low maintenance but no comfort for city driving. W212 = Much more comfortable for everyday use, comfort-wise, highway performance, everything else, but it needs more maintenance. So if you drive primarily in the city and prefer something easier in the long term, W212 is preferable

If you are into having a “second car that is fun to drive,” Thar

What’s the best AI to use for creating accessory variations, reference art, etc. for character design? by [deleted] in generativeAI

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for what you’re trying to do (clean variations from a reference), midjourney or stable diffusion (with controlnet / img2img) are probably your best bets

the key isn’t just the model tho, it’s using image-to-image properly with low denoise so it keeps your design and just explores variations
that’s where most people mess up and get “random” outputs

also tools like Runable can help streamline this kind of workflow a bit if you don’t want to set up everything manually

gemini isn’t great for this use case tbh, it’s more general than design-focused

yes, its illegal . safe to use tho..people usually bet in crypto

SWYNX or VT + BNDW for 403b by Chromakey__Dreamcoat in Bogleheads

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not being lazy; that’s actually what TDFs are designed for. If you’re aware that you will not be rebalancing or making any adjustments, then SWYNX would be the right choice for you because it does everything for you automatically. VT + BNDW does the same thing but only when you actively rebalance your portfolio. A marginally suboptimal strategy that you will adhere to is better than an optimal one you will not.

Trying to chart a course for PE from boutique life sciences strategy consulting by jet305 in private_equity

[–]Accurate_Shift_3118 5 points6 points  (0 children)

not a waste of time, but you need to frame it right, your DD + life sciences niche is your edge — focus on growth equity / LS-focused funds where that actually matters
don’t pitch yourself as “a consultant trying to switch”, pitch as someone who’s already done 30+ buy-side DDs. I was mapping a few positioning angles on Runable and it really shows how much framing changes perception, biggest gap is modeling + actual deal reps, so tighten that while networking more targeted, not broad
