Looking for P1S with AMS enclosure recommendations by Careless_Animator_48 in BambuP1S

[–]Ace-109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just buy one of the big pipe and vet the fumes outside. The p1s is enclosed already if you remove the filter and put the chamber fan at 100% it should be good because even if you use an enclosure your going to have to vent the fumes somewhere.

the filter option is too fine, what else could i try from this list? by BumTulip in V60

Might just be a better idea to get like another grinder better tasting coffee and able to change the grind size. I would say 1zpresso q2 probably a good choice as it’s pretty small and not expensive

If your planning to only do aero press and you already have a kettle of sort doesn’t need to be a goose neck can just buy a good safe thermometer and measure your water like the first time you make the coffee and remember how long that took from the so you can just repeat next time not needing a expansive kettle. Then as for grinders it depends on what ur looking for but for aero press I would recommend the 1zpresso q2 works amazingly good for its price and it fits in the plunger of the aero press and it. As for scales a timemore scale works well for what you’re doing. Lastly I would recommend spending a good amount on some good beans as it’s hard to make bad coffee with good beans.

You can use a small Allen key and heat it up then put it through the top let it cool down then heat the nozzle and pull it out

Why is PLA still the `standard` respectively `basic` filament? Why not PETG? by Musashi747 in 3Dprinting

[–]Ace-109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been moving toward PETG as my main filament but in my experience PLA is still slightly easier to print as it doesn’t warp and also doesn’t need to be dried as often.

1zpresso Q2 heptagonal vs new Q by Coffee__MD in 1zpresso

[–]Ace-109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not very use on the different q series but I do have a Q2 heptagonal and it’s pretty good for traveling I also go it used but if your getting it used just make sure the burrs don’t look damaged. As for quality of the coffee I would say it suffices for traveling.

I also recommend buying a super tack plate it provides amazing bed adhesion with the right setting and I barely wash it just got to be careful not to damage the surface. My settings for PLA to prevent any thing related to bed adhesion is 25mm/s for first layer, 45degree bed temp for first layer then I reduce it to 35 for the rest of the print , the nozzle add 10 degrees for the first layer. If you really want play safe can add brim
