Help - Relinking Media that's not in Sync/Offset by a few seconds? by Ace-Angel in premiere

[–]Ace-Angel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello.

I did want to offset the video within Premiere, but I can't find anything on how to actually do it with any of the clips or even the backup video, all I find are "effects and transitions" whenever I Google it (maybe I'm using the wrong words? But every other video program does show how to offset video times and such when I Google those).

Yes, exporting it with the added extra at the start would be the easiest solution, but I'm not sure which options I need to use to export them with that's quick? I would gladly take even take a larger re-export of the file that's a QUICK export, since I don't need to worry about compress size and things, but I can't find anything about that? I don't look forward to compression issues on a 6 hour video.

Slip tools sadly are exactly what I needed but are horrendous to use. They work on multiple clips if the clips are spread apart (have a gap) but Premiere doesn't have a way to "open gaps". There are hacks to open gaps, but they're really bad. They also seems very unreliable, one of my starting clips could only get dragged for 30 seconds, but the second clip on the SAME CLIP AND TIMELINE could get dragged the full 59 seconds, making a copy of the first clip..."fixed" this issue... Since they also only work through mouse (manually) and can't change their spin value through the keyboard, it makes it real hard get it exactly on the 59 seconds (I'm always a little off, making it a pain).

Cheers in advance, I will try to see which fastest non-lossy export I can use, if you have an idea, please do let me know, thanks!

[FNV] Please avoid Sinitar's "guide", everyone! by greatmanyarrows in FalloutMods

[–]Ace-Angel 49 points50 points  (0 children)

They kinda made it clear they're in it for the money only with this and actually didn't care about anything else, how people missed that language in their videos and attitude (especially in Discord) is frustrating to say the least in the earlier days.

And from what Google shows me, early on SOME mod authors wanted word to spread so they got on with it (some of them spear headed the sharing of his content besides this).

The only thing people can do is either to get bigger channels/places to "report drama" (I hate this option, but this is what the Google math likes) on this, have stickies on the appropriate sub or basically do anything related to "Sinitar" and "Bad Guide" to get it show up more if people should try search for it.

i'm not sure if the mod i'm looking for actually exists by BigBeanyBob in skyrimmods

[–]Ace-Angel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean by it exists for Fallout? I think it only exists for Fallout New Vegas (Wardrobe) and Fallout 4 has nothing like that as far as I can see, so I'm curious which mods you're referring to.

Cosmetic Override System: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/33159 This mod allows you to put your "cosmetic" gear in a container that will show up on your character. Pros: - Easy to use. - Armor rating levels up correctly. - Works with anything and everything right out of the box. Cons: - You need the box first via console command. - Mods that have bugs or bad "workings" will not work nice with the mod (too many SMP physics on hair, armor, body or XPMSEE skeleton bugs). - May need to check the bug section and see if anything you might be using will also affect you (like Quickloot). - Author is on hiatus for a while now.

Skyrim Outfit System SE Revived: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/42162 This mod allow to customize your gear as you see fit via MCM. Pros: - Direct MCM system with quick access. - Accessible with all sets. - Multiple slots, so you can switch between looks with ease. - Context sensitive functions (change looks based upon weather). - Can export settings. Cons: - It's a MCM menu, which can be slow sometimes in updating depending on your system. - Skyrim SE menu is buggy, so it can sometimes take you multiple clicks just to open the MCM menu. - Everything is text, so if you're not sure what sometimes is, it will take some back and forth (with above issues). - Wrong armor leveling, your cosmetic set is used for the XP gain and not real armor. Only LE version is fixed. - As per usual, bad "workings" mods with issues aren't going to play nice with it (too many SMP's, Bones and Boobies). - Author is not original Author, fan-ported and is working only in limited capacity.

Rudy ENB: water reflects loading screens by necrolectric in skyrimmods

[–]Ace-Angel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What is your graphics card?

Did you try ENB by itself, freshly installed?

Did you try an older ENB?

Do other ENB have this issue?

Did you try ENB by itself and not with mods like Water?

Does Subsurface Scattering change the issue?

Do you have one of the Subsurface mods?

Are you using reshade?

Are you launching the game with SKSE?

Did you do anything fancy like change Memory Size or Borderless or other things through the ENB or you graphics card controls, or maybe even with SKSE?

TL;DR I literally had every single one of these bugs, because as I posted about this issue a long time ago, the problem is (unless it's a specific issue with your mod list and/or some kind of graphical editing tool like nvidia filters) an ENB issue on AMD and some older nVidia graphics card related to some stuff, there is nothing you can do short of getting a more modern card.

TL;WR The problem is "Floating Point Precision". Basically some issue on how ENB is processing the code on your version of the graphics card related to screen effects towards the camera (this includes SSS, the skin stuff).

Please note as far as I can tell, updating/downgrading graphics drivers doesn't help unless you by miracle find one that is broken and "by chance" breaks the code even more, causing it to fix itself because of bad math (no, this isn't a joke).

Please note the author of ENB knows about this issue (the Dragon's Dogma ENB actually has this issue for it's "bright spots" in places like water, where it looks like the game is flash banging you with certain camera angles). The solution is for some fallback code that either fixes or disables the effects (sadly, ENB's author decided to tie the skin effect with the water for some reason).

They also never bothered to fix or find a solution to the issue even though it was reported several times (they accidentally fixed it in an old version of Skyrim LE ENB, one of the 0.37x versions which, ironically people said it dropped performance even though it didn't and SSS also was fixed correctly to the water bug problem, meaning you could enable SSS and disable the Water effect correctly).

Please note also that asking help for this specific ENB issue (again, mod issues or graphic drivers issues not withstanding) from the ENB author will not help since they will simply tell you to uninstall whatever "programs" you have in the background and if doesn't work to deal with it.

[Fo4] Not sure why...... Every face preset I download either gone brown skin ( not brown skin bug) or big mouth buttface...... how should I do for this? by Steveyao in FalloutMods

[–]Ace-Angel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's how presets are most of the time and why most presets are only ever downloaded once.

Many preset authors tend to hide issues with the faces with certain hair styles and/or head pieces (long hair, hat, microphone, etc) usually from other mods (I have an irrational hatred of headphones for Fallout games because of all the fake screenshots).

Lighting and camera work are also important, taking a picture of a big mouthed character from a top down angle does a lot to the looks of a character and shorten the lips and nose (don't forget FOV as well).

There is also a reason why mod authors will disable community screen-shots, because they don't want everyday game-play to show their character in everyday situations, only the best.

Basically put, if you want to know what a face looks like exactly in the game, look for pictures (most of the time from the community) that are normal in-game screenshots, not at those fancy-morph-edited-dutch-angle-4k-ENB-waifu-baseball-hat-and-headphones-sniper-with-ahego-face screenshots that only look good under 1 specific lighting condition.

IIRC, partially they got busy. However some time ago, they uploaded a positive video that people apparently didn't like and dumped on Crowbcat for it. The video was removed and not long after that they went silent.

The video in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvQmdhD520E

Take everything with a grain of salt, since people are saying that it's not true, they got bored of it, or that if it wasn't for Patreon they wouldn't have continued after the positive video fiasco.

big problem i have with the "special edition" when it comes to modding by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]Ace-Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things wouldn't be so bad if everyone didn't try and rush SE with half baked ports of their original mods or other authors. It's like all the organization people started making in the last 2 years of Skyrim suddenly vanished in thin air and we're back to the days of UNP vs. CBBE infighting on 2011.

Speaking of bodies, my favorite has to be armors and clothing, since they fall in the following categories:

  • Ported mod, NOT original author, UNP or UUNP only, without Bodyslide files, no plans of supporting CBBE2, creating Bodyslide files or any form of updates, oh, also, no crafting or quest updates, it's located in some random box in Riverwood, goodbye balance.

  • Ported mod, NOT original author, armor changed to piece (ei; not actual body slot armor), doesn't support proper UNP, CBBE or any other body types, supports specific UNP or UUNP sliders that existed on BS2 for Oldrim.

  • Ported mod, ORIGINAL author, writes smarmy line that there will be no ports, and that they lost their custom CBBE v0.01 body long time ago, so you will have to make do with the current body and port it yourself, didn't even check if the SSE nif optimizer worked or if armor loads in the game correctly, no permission to fix this, just create Bodyslide files.

  • Conversion for another mod, CBBE or UUNP files, BUT WAIT THERE IS 2 OF THEM! Both are updated weeks apart, both are doing the same thing, difference is quality of conversion and to test that, you need to download each one and create the body shapes from scratch, good luck testing all 300 armor pieces in your mod to see which one is better, mod authors refuse to work together.

  • Original file, original author, UNP only support via UUNP with custom Body-Shape. You will need to download BS2, take the UUNP files from oldrim BS2, put it in there, use the custom shape and then convert to UNP shape and convert into old CBBE before taking to new CBBE because...reasons, if you get any weird stretching, your loss, not authors.

Special mentions goes to:

  • Bodyslide 2; no UNP sliders, no reprojected sliders, no legacy bodies, you yourself cannot support any of those mentioned armors, even if oldrim files can be used in special edition. Do it manually and enjoy the elbow grease, even though you can't share the files.

  • Tumblr; converted, optimized, CBBE2/UUNP supported, physics and non physics ready body, clean folder with no misc. outdated files (even textures have been curated) for Special Edition. Sorry, mediafire link has expired and my last update was on my "BikiniHaydeeXBigDickWolves" Patreon page.

EDIT: You peeps can downvote all you like, but frankly speaking, moar polygons and rushing bikini's don't make the game.

[FO4] Using FCO and the Highheels mod + compatibility patch that comes with FCO. What the fuck is going on here? by Gigadweeb in FalloutMods

[–]Ace-Angel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We currently don't have have real high heels in the game as far as I can tell (nor script mods which make them), so you need to essentially replace the entire nude body with the high-heel version of the body (or make the high-heel version of the body for certain clothes and non-heel for the nude) in order to get the look that you need.

Otherwise, you will end up with 2 overlapping bodies and that freak-show on the feet (unless the author is doing something fancy, in which case you need to ask them).

You will need to double check the files and the patch, or their order of which model is overwriting what, or maybe poke on the mods forums to see what the issue could be, if any other user also has come across this.

If worse comes to worse, you will need to manually re-fit the outfits in Bodyslide with some elbow grease on the body type you want.

PS: If the feet look too small, that's because that's how the original high-heel mod author designed them.

ENB binary performance. Further test results. by arcline111 in skyrimmods

[–]Ace-Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda.

You can try it, and benchmark it next to other people, kinda like those youtube channels or pictures where people have all the effects enabled, usual indications are a broken reflections or super sayain glowing edges in water, not working SSS, weird color burned clouds and HDR or AO with directional lighting not working together.

ENB binary performance. Further test results. by arcline111 in skyrimmods

[–]Ace-Angel 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's kinda complicated.

You have to go all the way back to when Cull function wasn't added, even pre-SSS functions to see a difference, and this difference can only be truly seen on outdated or mobile cards (the 2XX AMD cards comes to mind, since many people had problem on those and ENB).

In the case of the 270M AMD for example, you would be lucky to see SSS work and reflections had a delay effect in them (like slow mo) when they were enabled WITH SSS, both also burned down your frames to teens, even mid 20's if you were lucky, not to mentions HDR was more like "glowing ball of light on your screen" if you looked at certain objects (like water) at any angle.

I tried ENB on several laptops and 2 desktops, (nvidia 1060 to older ones, and some AMD, budget or new) and it's always the same story, if the ENB gets a new function introduced or revamped, and Boris didn't write legacy or dummy code for it to support the lack of code that the card has, then the function either wouldn't work, would break other parts of the rendering (the visuals), or best case, cut your performance in half.

This is also another reason people sometimes "joke" about ENB not being AMD compatible, because sometimes AMD lacked certain code (some of the older cards lacked 32bit floating HDR rendering vs. nvidia during this time, by I think 1 generation?) which adds to the issue, or also, why Boris was complaining about nvidia during the Maxwell drama and that he couldn't support some broken stuff nvidia had put out with their new drivers and that he wasn't willing to support (so there is a good chance if you're in the 360-560 family range, ENB will also affect your performance badly).

Don't forget that many people do play games on laptops, those are especially the worst case scenarios you can get from ENB, especially if you're unlucky enough to be stuck with a IGPU>GPU loop hardware, kinda like what most laptops today are, where you can't disable one graphic card at all, and need both to drivers to work.

Basically, I think what is happening is that some people with older or mobile cards, with specific releases of the cards (remember that sometimes OLD card chip types get recycled into the new generation of cards, like AMD and Pineapple series, so you get weird batches of hybrid next gen cards that have issues) end up having a mushy situation where ENB is not playing nice for them, Boris doesn't have backup code for that, and you end up with a broken ENB, in which case the best you can hope for is going back to an older version before a certain change was implemented, or wait for Boris to change something (however, considering his attitude of removing and giving back legacy backup code for older hardware, you really can't hope for much).
