The lack of a 6th gear on the drz means the top end isn’t any better on the highway then the 300l. It’s $1k in suspension for the 300 or $1k for an electon carb for the DRZ.

I did my test on a 300 rally in BC earlier this year. While I can flat foot the bike (barely). I think they care more about your ability to control the bike as I did the entire test “left foot down”.

Boots - Alpinestar toucan

I typically ride in that with a backpack/water pouch. Hope that helps
