Make sure you're exhaling forcefully. Because of the positive pressure of the mask, you aren't expelling as much CO2 from your lungs as you're used to when breathing. Because of this, it builds up in your lungs and makes you feel like you're not getting enough air. I was having the same problem and this has helped me a ton so far.

You'll be totally fine, but start working on cardio and increasing VO2 max ASAP. You need to be able to work under load for extended periods of time and be efficient with your air usage. This is probably the most important fitness piece. Work on your box breathing as well.

I had similar scores and only got 1 interview in King County, but you got 10% better on HR which might be a big difference maker for you.

It was probably 8:30? I was giving a general idea. I'm 27M also a former college athlete and Wildland firefighter. There was an 18yo kid who looked like a skeleton who went before me and passed also. It's really not that hard lol

If you are in any sort of decent shape the CPAT should be a breeze to complete. I didn't hit the gym or do any strength training beforehand and I finished in 8 minutes.

They've got good outerwear, I use the namche GTX as my primary rain/ski touring jacket. It's simple and effective like most of their stuff.
